Horrible experience. Not in the gallery but from the travel operator that sold me two tickets for the Uffizi gallery, charged me $70 per ticket on a day that the gallery has free entry. The “audio guide” that came with the ticket was not valid in the gallery and I was not provided with instructions to download an app for it either. They promise to “skip the line,” there was no line to begin with, even on a free entrance day. Needless to say I asked for a total refund which Viator honored. Beware of this tour operator/seller
The best alternative to a live guide. You get all the important historical context but you can pause it whenever you want to take a photo or just sit down and rest. Highly recommend if you like independent travel.
We just showed our digital tickets, got our audio devices, and we were in. The commentary is easy to follow and not overly academic, which I appreciated.
Got in quickly, picked up the audio guide with no issues, and spent a great afternoon surrounded by amazing art. Would recommend.
