Then the trip continue to visit Kintamani Volcano where you may have your lunch at restaurant with view of mount and lake Batur. Next of the trip is visiting Tegalalang Rice Terrace, famous for it's best rice field in Ubud. Then explore the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, where gray macaques roam among Hindu temples, jungle and gorge. Continue to the Ubud Palace which is known as Gianyar Royal Palace and the last destination is Ubud Art Market where you can buy a reasonable souvenir.

Tegenungan Waterfall is one of the famous places of interest in Bali, the beauty of the waterfall does not only become an attraction for domestic or foreign tourists, local people also often visit this waterfall. Its a part of the Petanu river flowing along the village of Kemenuh, it reaches to the height of up to 20m so you can feel the sound vibration of the falling water. The beauty of Tegenungan waterfall in between green rocky walls can be seen from the first stop point where you can find local stalls serving food and beverages.
Tirta Empul Temple is beautiful temple complex and holy mountain spring located in the village of Manukaya in central Bali. The site serves as a legendary setting of a traditional tale about good versus evil, its also a national cultural heritage site. The complex built in 960 AD is also a silent witness to the old Balinese kingdom years, particularly at the time of the Warmadewa Dynasty. Another nearby and prominent site on top of a hill is the presidential palace, Istana Tampaksiring, built during the years of the nation first president, Soekarno.
Kintamani Highland has been the most favorite tourist destination in the central mountains area of Bali. With the magnificent view of its caldera, and also the beauty of Lake Batur which fills the large part of the caldera, the crater of Mount Batur is the central interest of the place which is estimated to have 13 square km size. The view is the main reason to come here. Surrounded by the captivating nature of Mount Batur, you will find plenty more reasons to linger in the crater itself and be sure to also take in the joyous winding road along the lake shore to Toya Bungkah, Pura Ulan Danu Batur, or even the hot springs.
Tegalalang Rice Terrace which according to history, was passed down by a revered holy man named Rsi Markandeya in the eighth century. Tegalalang forms the three most splendid terraced landscapes in Ubud shared region, with the others being in the villages of Pejeng and Campuhan. Tegalalang Rice Terrace alone has an outlook that spreads down before you and away to the rice terraces on the slopes across the valley. The high roadside location is cool and breezy and it is a well known spot for tourists to stop and take photos.
Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary is a small rain forest dwelt by some group of monkeys and other tropical animals. Its strategically located in the hearth of Ubud Village. Monkey Forests in Balinese language called Wanara Wana are spread out in the island and Ubud Monkey Forest itself own very important function of the continuity the monkey habitat in Bali. Meanwhile the local community own important role to keep this forest naturally in order to all wild animals able to live smoothly.
Ubud Royal Palace or Puri Saren Ubud is one of the most prominent places in Ubud, as it is smack dab on the main Jalan Raya Ubud road and intersection. The palace can also be regarded as the focal landmark of Ubud. The Ubud palace was built during the lordship of the late Ida Tjokorda Putu Kandel (1800-1823) and is well kept by his successive heirs. A visit to the Puri Saren is on many of the itineraries to the Ubud area.
The items that you can buy at the Ubud Art Market are all kinds of knick-knacks, very beautiful art tools, various handicrafts made of wood, rattan, and others. And there are also art items in the form of paintings and silver that are sold here with very good quality items. If you could say that the handicrafts sold here are very complete and each shop sells different items so you can freely walk around the complex of this Ubud Art Market, from one shop to another to hunt for handicrafts and souvenirs.

We booked through Agoda, but due to what may have been Agoda's mistake, the tour itinerary was different from what we expected. We didn't visit Kintamani Highlands, the waterfalls, or the Ubud Royal Palace. However, our guide, Gusti Eka, was kind, and we were satisfied.

Raj was a great driver but the buffet lunch was much to be desired! The venu had great views but the buffet lunch was not appetising

Our family (with 16 and 18 year olds) did this tour July 28, 2025. Kadek Darma was our guide. He was great! He spoke English well and was engaged in making conversation. We hit all the spots in the tour description. Our favourite was the Monkey Forest We started at 8:30am and only got back to our hotel around 8pm so prepare for a long day. Monday well spent!
