Loved Fitzroy island but disappointed in the glass boat seen 5 fish and dirty water Then went to green island was beautiful but nothing to do because it was too cold to go in the water Slept on the beach Get to see lifesavers there to look out for the swimmers Take a wetsuit
Wallabies were great, lots of driving though so be prepared to be sitting a lot. Appreciate the door to door service
We stayed in Cane‘s right on Trinity Beach. Everything‘s with all with him walking distance to eat in the beach. But it’s best to have a car so that you can go to the rainforest and the sites. The birds are thousands. They’re everywhere and beautiful. They do make a strange call. The wallabies come right up to the balcony so friendly. The beach is not overcrowded it’s beautiful so peaceful where the rainforest meets the beach. People are very friendly. The weather was fantastic. Did get a little chilly at night so I recommend bringing a light jacket. But during the day, it’s fantastic. They do have construction there so that takes a bit of extra time when you’re traveling. In Queensland, the countryside you see a lot of little stands at people’s houses that they sell their produce or whatever they are selling that was nice. Driving on the opposite side was not a problem at all. The only thing I had to get used to was the turn signal on the opposite side. I would turn the windshield wipers on quite often ha ha. I would recommend where we stayed the time of year and that vacation to anybody who wanted to reset explore nature, see a lot of animals and beyond the beach. Is the best of both worlds.
Perfect trip combining both islands for those who are time poor and can’t fit trips to both on seperate days. More than enough time at both islands, we didn’t feel rushed. Stinger suits were provided and the box lunch was perfect. Bit of confusion in the morning regarding which boat to get on as you don’t leave on a Big Cat Boat but other than that couldn’t fault the day.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed visiting both Fitzroy and Green Island in one day and that the itinerary worked well without feeling rushed. It’s great to know the stinger suits and lunch added to the experience too. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the morning boarding confusion and will pass this along to the team as we’re always looking to improve communication for guests. Thanks again for choosing our Two Islands experience!
Poor communication and dirty ship. Didn’t receive box or lunch buffet. When I asked for food they said it was too late and that I could walk back to the island to purchase food. No lifeguards and Fitzroy island. They’re basically an ocean taxi. We couldn’t understand instructions over the intercom. Most instructions were in Chinese. Not sure how they have such good reviews.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, Danny. We’re very sorry to hear aspects of your day did not meet expectations, particularly regarding communication and your lunch inclusion. All onboard announcements and daily activity information are provided in English, and we have plenty of crew available to assist guests with directions, activity times and any questions they may have. We understand that announcements can sometimes be difficult to hear over the intercom, particularly for guests seated outside where it can be windy while enjoying the views, which is why our crew are always happy to clarify lunch times, boarding information and scheduled activities at any time during the trip. We would also like to clarify that Green Island has lifeguards on patrol at the beach area, however Fitzroy Island does not have lifeguard services and we do not advertise that it does. The Two Islands tour is designed to allow guests to experience both Fitzroy and Green Island in one day, and we appreciate your feedback as it helps us continue improving the guest experience for future travellers.
Lovely excursion, nice sandy beach. We had a great experience on the glass bottom boat. Very helpful staff, and enjoyable meal including curries, salads, prawns and fresh fruit. The boat can take rough seas. Our experience at Fitzroy was great so much coral and fish to see. We also managed to see a sea turtle.
The experience on-board was good but no extras including drinks provided. A bottle of water or softdrink would have been appreciated. I wasn't provided much info on where to swim, snorkel, hike, get snacks, etc. I wasted a lot of time snorkeling on Green Island where I saw others but not in the best locations. Good info or a small map would have been handy.
The islands were beautiful, good tour to get both done if on a time limit. Was a little confusing transferring from Fitzroy to Green island as not everyone was doing both islands and the communication about where to go/what boat to get on was not the best.
It was a great tour and I really enjoyed the day in and on the water. I will note that there were lots of instructions for the multiple variations of tours different people were taking so you should pay close attention. Secondly, Viator indicated that the glassbottom biat was included yet the vendor said it was not. They accommodated me but it was confusion Iwas not expecting. Otherwise, it was a great trip.
I was sceptical but this was actually a great day. Make sure you know what you want to do on Fitzroy because there is greater distance to cover. You get a great taste of both islands, they’re super different. The picnic lunch is worth it in my opinion (a wrap, a sambo, an apple and a nut bar) - you can smash it out on the ferry service and then get straight into Green Island snorkeling.
