Two Countries in One Day: Spain & France
Description
The goal of this experience is to have breakfast in Spain and lunch in France without crossing any physical border! How does that sound?We will leave Bcn at 8:30 in our 7-seater van. First stop is Girona, famous for Game of Thrones. After a light breakfast and a leisurely stroll through the heart of the old town, we'll hop back in our minivan towards France. Before you know it we will enter France. Around lunchtime, we will arrive in Collioure, a village on the south coast of France with a population of about 2000 people. After a short exploration together, we will give you free time to have lunch and relax in front of the Mediterranean Sea. Around 4 o'clock we will return in the direction of Barcelona. PLEASE NOTE: during the summer months, make sure you bring your swimwear and beach towel! IMPORTANT!!! make sure to ALWAYS bring your passport or ID in case of a random police control

Meeting point. We will leave the city from here heading to Girona.
The Tuscany of Spain. Scenic drive
Built circa 1877 and perhaps the most famous bridge in Girona made by Mister Eiffel, yes the same one of the Eiffel Tower. We will cross the bridge direction the old town.
The second widest gothic nave in the world. We will walk around the Catedral without walking inside
Drive from Girona to France.
One of the most famous Game Of Thrones locations in the Girona old town. We will stop for pictures only.
Collioure. Collioure is a town on the Mediterranean coast of southern France. On the sea, the medieval Château Royal de Collioure offers dramatic coastal views. The bell tower of 17th-century Notre-Dame-des-Anges Church was once a lighthouse. The Modern Art Museum. We will provide you 2 hours free time for lunch and a stroll around.
Drive back from Collioure to Barcelona. during the summer months, make sure you bring your swimwear and beach towel!

This tour was a great way to get a taste of the south of France while also exploring Girona. Ivan was our guide and did a great job explaining the history! You do spend quite a bit of time in the vehicle, as to be expected.
This was a fantastic tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We had a great time wandering by around the French seaside, and then learned a lot on the tour of Girona. Highly recommend.
Excellent service by Ivan. He went into detail and explained each location and the history. As we were driving, he would give us details of certain locations. I will 1000% recommend this trip to anyone, single, couples or as a family. This is a must do tour while in Barcelona.

It was amazing! Antoine took the time to explain the areas we traveled through and at each stop. His knowledge of not only French, but also. Spanish culture was fascinating. As a fellow Geographer we talked almost non stop thru-ought the day. We still talk about the day.
What an incredible day exploring two beautiful countries in one tour! My mother, sister, and I had an unforgettable experience visiting Girona, Spain and Collioure, France. Both destinations were absolutely stunning, filled with history, breathtaking scenery, and so much charm. Our tour guide, Guillaume, truly made the experience exceptional. His knowledge of the history, culture, and local traditions was outstanding, and his passion for the places we visited made every stop even more meaningful. He was friendly, engaging, and happy to answer every question we had. This tour covers two countries in a single day, which means there is a significant amount of travel involved. The route is approximately 400 km round trip, and with 8–9 hours available, the day is carefully balanced between driving time and time spent exploring each destination. As outlined in the itinerary, guests can expect around 4 hours of driving throughout the day and approximately 4/5 hours dedicated to visiting Girona and Collioure, France Our goal is to provide a comfortable pace while allowing guests to experience the highlights of both countries in a single day.
The tour was informative and enjoyable. The time in Girona is spent with a guide so there is no time to freely look, but we were able to wander on our own in France. It is about 4-5 hours of driving total so I wouldn’t recommend for younger kids. Also, there were quite a few stairs so not stroller or disability friendly.
