Llanos de Cortez is one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful waterfalls. The falls are wide and wispy, with thin streams of water tumbling along the mossy rocks. Rocky cliffs are visible through the transparent cascade, thick forest surrounds the fall and at the base of the falls is a nice pool that is good for swimming or wading, and there is a sandy area to just hang out and relax.
Heliconias has an access to one of the most important activities in Costa Rica, visit a Real Tropical Rain Forest… with 3 amazing hanging bridges that traverse the forest canopy ranging from 35 to 40 meters in height.. At the slopes of the Tenorio Volcano, this two-hour hike with many stops to see the variety of flora and fauna in the surrounding evergreen jungle will astonish you.
Spot sloths in their natural habitat it’s not always easy, here you can see very close many specimens of this rare creature, also under the fallen leaves of the jungle or in natural pools, you can see easily around 8 different species of Rain Forest frogs, including the dart Red-Eyed Tree Frog and the tiny Poison Dart Frog, among other multicolor amphibius…to finish you will learn and admire many butterflies at the butterfly garden... tucans?, dont surprise if suddntly one flyes over you head.

1. THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE TO OPERATE IS 4, we can try to make groups from different hotels, so it is important to book on TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS. If we do not get the minimum, the tour must be canceled since it is not operational at a regular price. 2. WE PICK UP IN MANY OTHER HOTELS OF Guanacaste area, also AIRBNB or other private houses, just contact us to confirm if your hotel or resort is available to offers you the pick up! Once you make the reservation, we will let you know the pickup time and meeting point. 3. REMEMBER CONFIRM THE PICKUP TIME, IT IS DIFERENT IN EACH RESORT! Some hotels like W Conchal, JW Marriot, Westin Conchal, some in Tamarindo, Flamingo and Potrero has an extra cost for pick up there if we don´t have more people from that location, but feel free to ask about it because always we try to help you with the best option, for big groups we can do a deal ask about it!! 4. REMEMBER IF YOU ARE FROM RIU HOTELS DON´T FORGET YOUR PASSPORT PHOTO IN YOUR PHONE! 5. WE HAVE MANY HOTELS THAT WE OFFER PICK UPS DO THE BOOKING AND ASK ABOUT IF WE CAN OFFER THE PICK UP THERE! 6. WE WORK WITH SMALL GROUPS AROUND 15 PEOPLE IN THE REGULAR ONE, BUT IF YOU HAVE A GROUP MORE THAN 20 PEOPLE WE CAN OPERATED THAT LIKE A PRIVATE TOUR.

Once we met Marvin, he started to explain the culture of Costa Rica. We had such a fun experience, we fell like he was an extra friend hanging with us. Must definitely will ask for him again.
We had the most incredible tour experience in Costa Rica, and it was truly all thanks to our amazing guide, Marvin. From start to finish, he was knowledgeable, personable, and made us feel completely safe and comfortable—especially on the hikes. He created such a perfect, well-rounded day for us. We explored beautiful waterfalls, hiked through the rainforest, and learned so much along the way. One of the absolute highlights was getting to see wildlife up close—especially a sloth, which was my favorite! He even arranged for a local volunteer to help us spot and learn about more animals, which made the experience feel so special and authentic. Beyond the adventure, he also made sure we experienced the culture. We enjoyed a delicious local lunch that he helped serve, which added such a thoughtful, personal touch. We also got to see how coffee and chocolate are made—such a fun and memorable experience! He wrapped up the day by taking us souvenir shopping, making sure we found great, authentic items. What really stood out was his patience, kindness, and genuine passion for what he does. He never rushed us, answered all our questions, and made the entire day feel effortless and fun. If you’re visiting Costa Rica, I cannot recommend this tour—especially with Marvin- highly enough. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip!

Wear good shoes for hiking. Alfonso was the BEST tour guide. Very informative and very knowledgeable of the country. Highly recommend this tour. We were able to see sloths, snakes, frogs, lizards, and even a turkey.

Awesome time with Martin!! He gave us the best tour and was very informative! We did the rainforest and hanging bridge and it was beautiful. Martin explained the history of the towns, volcanoes and plant life. He was also very accommodating to the people in our group who needed special attention. The tour was great! We had a such a fun day. The Frank the Tank guide Maurice was well informed, friendly and patient. We enjoyed him very much and would be happy to do another tour with him or recommend him to friends! William our driver did a great job also. He was a very experienced driver and was also extra helpful when we needed him to be. As for the tour, we had a generous amount of time at each stop and were able to do and see all the things that we had been hoping for. Also, lunch was delicious! Overall, we truly have no complaints and only good memories from our Frank the Tank tour with Maurice and William.

The tour was an outstanding experience made even better by the quality of the people and service provided by the folks who made our arrangements and took care of all of the details. Oscar and Inaki helped organize our day and Ernesto was an excellent guide who was extremely knowledgeable with a great sense of humour. This trip is a must. Our guide Maurice was very knowledgeable and easy going. He was able to point out sloths, birds, frogs and snakes that we wouldn't have seen and he stopped to take our pictures several times throughout. We had a great time

This excursion was awesome! Pablo & Vinicio were amazing guides. Pablo was so personable & Vinicio was a great driver. Saw some sloths in the wild & lots of other animals too. Fun hike across bridges.
