Tromsø Fjords Tour of Kvaloya and Sommaroy

Description
You’ll set off on a scenic drive westward, crossing the bridge that connects Tromsø to the island of Kvaløya. As you travel, you’ll cross three fjords and pass through the valley of Kattfjordeidet. You’ll make short stops to take photos, breathe in the fresh Arctic air, and immerse yourself in nature. Keep your eyes open—you might spot reindeer or other wildlife roaming freely across the landscape. In Sommarøy, known as “the Summer Island,” you’ll relax and enjoy a warm two-course lunch (soup, dessert with tea & coffee) while enjoying stunning coastal views. On your return journey, you’ll drive along the southeast coast of Kvaløya, where you can admire the beautiful vistas of the Sund and the Malangen mountains. You can join this experience whether you use a wheelchair, have reduced mobility, or live with visual, hearing, or neurodivergent conditions. Every tour is designed to make you feel comfortable and included from start to finish.

Comfortable driving experience. Very pleasant and knowledgeable guide. Interesting points of information about Norwegian life and culture as well as locations visited.
Our driver Jan and the tour guide Valentina were a fantastic team. The tour was very interesting and filled with many informative contributions. We were traveling with a wheelchair, and a lot of effort was made to integrate us into everything - very successfully! The lunch was a dream (the soup was a poem!) and all in all: pure enthusiasm. Furthermore, Valentina is a language genius, so she was able to answer questions not only in English but also in French and Italian.
Valentina took us around and explained everything in detail. Lunch was included and it was great. Entire trip was awesome.
We had a great time with Martin, very friendly and knowledgeable, we not only saw but alse learned a lot. I would recommend this tour and this company to anyone, whether you have a disability or not.
The guide was excellent but I was expecting bit more than what we saw
A great tour to wonderful spots. Sommarøy is worth a visit, and the journey there simply delights with beautiful views. Valentina took fantastic care of all of us and shared many interesting things about the region. I recommend the trip 👍🏼 (the fact that there is only one opportunity to use the restroom (a proper restroom) should perhaps be included in the description 🙂) Wonderful relaxing facial treatment
We took a beautiful walk through the Norwegian fjords to Sommaroy Island with Valentina a very friendly girl who in a very understood English explained many things also answered our questions in Spanish which was a plus to the tour. We stopped at some beautiful spots to take pictures and additional Valentina carried a camera with which she took some beautiful pictures that she later sent us by mail. We stopped for lunch at a hotel on sommaroy island with nice views. Recommended the tour although the weather should help as we passed to observe the beautiful fjords
Was a perfect day, I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends. We were lucky to see the reindeers - a cherry on top of the great excursion
My husband and I arrived in Tromso a couple of days prior to our expeditionary cruise. We booked this local tour based on reviews of others. We’re so happy we did! Our guide, Valentina was wonderful…so knowledgeable!! We stopped and explored so many places that we would have missed if we were on our own! Such a great way to see and learn about Tromso! Highly recommend!!
We had quite nice, sunny weather most of the day and could enjoy wonderful landscapes of Kvaløya and Sommarøy. Our guides, Valentina and Martin, were friendly and funny and very knowledeable. As we travelled, we met also a few reindeer wandering about; so we learnt about some fascinating ways how reindeer are adjusted to living in severe arctic conditions. In the bus a playlist with Sámi joik was on. Guess what, since then I search my Spotify for more joik to listen to.
