Morning Pick-Up from SkyCity Hotel Auckland CBD: 5:45am onward, Sharp 6:00am we will start the tour. Kindly be on time on or before time to avoid disappointments. It will take approximately about 15 minutes to complete the pickups. Departure 6:00 am Travel: Auckland to Tirau Approximately (2hrs drive covering 175kms) via SH 1. From Tirau to Wai-O-Tapu 1 hour 30 Minutes drive.
The Mud Pool at Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland, near Rotorua, is one of New Zealand's most active geothermal features. It consists of bubbling, boiling mud created by underground geothermal activity. The thick, grey mud constantly bubbles due to the release of volcanic gases, offering a fascinating display of nature’s raw power. Customers who wish to enjoy the Tree Walk (Pay your own), are encourage to buy the tickets on their own and do the Tree Walk, while others are doing the Free Walk. The forest is a popular spot for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, offering a peaceful escape with its fresh air, impressive trees, and vibrant greenery.
The Blue Spring in Putāruru, New Zealand, is a stunning natural attraction renowned for its crystal-clear, vibrant blue waters. Located along the Te Waihou Walkway in the Waikato region, this spring supplies approximately 70% of New Zealand's bottled water due to its exceptional purity . The Te Waihou Walkway offers a scenic route through native bush and alongside the Waihou River, leading visitors to the Blue Spring. The spring maintains a constant temperature of 11°C year-round and flows at an impressive rate of 42 cubic meters per minute .
Tirau is a small, charming town located in the Waikato region of New Zealand, known for its quirky corrugated iron sculptures and creative architecture. Positioned along State Highway 1, it serves as a popular stopover for travelers heading to Rotorua, Taupo, and beyond. The town is famous for its giant corrugated iron sheep and dog buildings, housing the local i-SITE visitor center and a wool shop, adding to its unique character. Tirau is also home to cozy cafes, boutique shops, and local art, making it an interesting and delightful stop. Arrive 8.15 am 2. Dog and Sheep Shaped Corrugated Metal Buildings, Tirau New Zealand We recommend travelers to take a bathroom break and buy coffee or snacks. (15 minutes). You can pre-order to some of the recommended cafe's while we are on the way to Tirau to save time. Departure 8.30 am Travel: Tirau to Mudpool - Wai-O-Tapu Approximately 1hr 10mins(80 km) via State Hwy 5
From Tirau, we head back to Auckland CBD, on the way back, we will drop off our friendly tourists at the Airport Transfer, and Airport hotels.

Gem of a tour as not all tours will stop by the blue springs and Redwood Forrest in addition to the main attraction in Rotorua. Blue Spring ended up being my favorite part of the tour Actually as it was gorgeous seeing the long green plants flowing in the clear blue water. When I showed pictures to my friend he said it looked like AI because of how unreal it looked lol.

Great day long nature focused adventure! Not an insane amount of walking - 30-45 minutes walks per activity and guide went at our pace, we never felt rushed! He was very knowledgeable and gave just the right amount of tour guide talk.

We had a great experience on this tour. The pace was relaxed, and there was plenty of time at each stop to explore, take in the scenery, and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. The guide was informative and shared lots of interesting local knowledge throughout the day, which added to the overall experience. This trip, guided by Mr. Soloman, was much more satisfactory than I could imagine. Mr. Soloman is a truly ice breaker and equivalently, we happened to have two more solo travelers who were also open minded and could talk and commingle well. The entire trip was a long day and I really enjoyed the geothermal attraction and red woods, especially the vibes walking peacefully within forests. Blue springs look beautiful but you know, we could find a lot of matching scenes in my hometown China. What makes blue springs stand out are the traveling experiences, organized and relaxing ppl around you and wide-spread farmland with wildlife’s.
