Travel to the hot springs like a local

Description
Do you like the local way, do you like to collect new, authentic experiences and aren't really the pampering tourist? Or would you like to get to know the local means of transport, but don't dare to go it alone? Then we invite you to drive with us to the little paradise - in local style. But not in the way everyone does: In the morning you will meet your guide at the highway supermarket. There you have the opportunity to stock up on a few snacks for the day. From there you drive a few kilometers along the highway in a Tanzanian way with the "Daladala" (minibus for passenger transport). Driving Daladala is characterized by music and many people who often transport interesting things and spontaneous conversations with locals - absolutely worth experiencing! Next, you'll head by tuktuk to the hot springs, where you'll indulge yourself and eat Chipsi Mayai before heading back in the evening.

Itinerary
We show you the hot springs, here called “Maji Moto or Chemka Hot Springs” as well as the local transport options. You can swim and relax in the turquoise blue water, "massage" yourself from small fish or let yourself fall into the water via a swing or from tall trees. A cozy atmosphere including a picnic area invites you to relax. There is also a small market run by locals on the site, which invites you to buy souvenirs.

We had a wonderful time sleeping at the wadudu home. Joel and Lisa are very courteous and nice. They helped us organising a trip to the Chemka Hot springs and an unbelievable experience to the Kilimandscharo, which we can really recommend! Again, a big thank you to Joel and Lisa for making our stay here unforgettable.
Dear Tim, dear Mascha, thank you much for your kind words and choosing our Wadudu Guestfamily! It was our pleasure to have you here! Joel & Lisa
