Itinerary

20 min

After a transfer of about 20 minutes from your hotels, we will meet the rest of the group at the Monument to the Peasant. Located in the geographical centre of Lanzarote in the municipality of San Bartolomé, the House-Museum of the Peasant is the work with which César Manrique recognises the efforts of the peasants of Lanzarote. From the bus we will see the Monument to Fertility, also known as the Monument to the Peasant. It is a construction of more than 15 metres, created by César Manrique together with the master Jesús Soto, from old water tanks from ships, iron and concrete objects assembled together, a magnificent reflection of avant-garde art, which has become one of the iconographic symbols of the island.

20 min

We leave the Monument behind us and in about 30 minutes we will arrive at La Geria, a peculiar area of the island of Lanzarote where vineyards abound. With a volcanic landscape and arid land, the quality of its wines is surprising. It is unusual to find vineyards in such a terrain. We will stop at a winery to taste a shot of this wine.

Admission not included20 min

After half an hour's walk, you can take a 20-minute ride on the back of this beautiful animal. If you don't wish to do so, you can visit a small museum about the history of camels on the island of Lanzarote.

Admission included60 min

After a beautiful 20 minute drive from our last stop, we arrive at the Fire Mountains, the unusual result of the eruptions in the south of Lanzarote in the 18th and 19th centuries. A spectacle of red craters, lava flows and lunar landscapes that reflect the burning of the earth and its uncontrollable force. Its 200 kilometres of extension form part of the Timanfaya National Park, where one of the largest volcanic activities in the world can be seen, both for the immense quantity of materials thrown up by the fire, and for its spectacular duration: six years between 1730 and 1736 when the bowels of the island did not stop roaring.

20 min

From the Timanfaya in 20 minutes we reach this green lake located in the crater of a volcano that has become one of the main tourist attractions of Lanzarote.

Good tour

Good introduction to Lanzarote but stops are too brief. Nice guide and driver. Camel ride was a highlight.

Operator response

Thank you for your booking. We’re delighted that you joined our tour, which takes in the highlights of Lanzarote in a single day.

Worthwhile tour with weaknesses

Unfortunately, the first stop with the "wine tasting" is a pure and authentic sales event that you don't need at all. The second stop with the camel tour is a matter of taste. Anyone who does not want to do this (for whatever reason) is bored for half an hour. The national park is really impressive and more than worthwhile. The last stop at the "green grotto" and at the cliff is very nice, but too short if you want to explore the black beach a bit more. A slightly longer hold would be useful here and this would also be possible if you cancel the first station without replacement. Would make the trip significantly better again.

Learned something new.

It's a good experience. The coffee and chocolate mix (mocha) taste great. learned a lot of geography.

An island like no other

Wow! What a surreal experience this island is. You have to put yourself in a different mindset to appreciate the beauty of this volcanic wonder. Our guide was so cute and enthusiastic that she made us appreciate the landscape and tour. If you’re going to Lanzarote off a cruise ship, this is a great way to see it. I appreciate it experience more after I left and thought about how crazy it is that there are 300 volcanoes on the small island. It’s not a place I would return, but I’m glad I saw it one time in my life.

Camels and Volcanoes! Great Time

Great excursion from port. All of their directions were very clear to meet bus. Easy walk from port. If you want to ride a camel, this is the tour to take. It was a blast and lasted 25 minutes. Animals were clean. Learning about the 300 volcanoes was really informative.

Well worth it

Really enjoyable, great pace, no hard sell, fab knowledgeable guide and spectacular landscapes...really recommend this if you stop off on a cruise. A great way to see a lot of the sights. Picked up on a great coach from just outside the port.

See the volcanoes up close!

Fantastic tour! My only comment is that you can skip the last stop that was a photo op near the port. It was some kind of sculpture. We didn't get out of the bus. Seeing the volcanoes up close was an amazing experience!
