Departure from Quito: Blue house Hotel 06:15 or Café Zular 06:30 (Nex to San Blas Squarea)
Hiking at Limiopungo Lake inside Cotopaxi National Park, home to one of the world’s highest active volcanoes. There you can visit the Limpiopungo Lagoon which is at the foot of a volcano and there is possible to see some species of flora besides the volcano
Transfer from Cotopaxi National Park to Cañon del Río Toachi. (2:30) Here we can take some pictures and the guide will explain you about its formations wich are product of pyroclastic flows whose source was the Quilotoa volcano (0:30). The materials that form the base of the canyon are pumiceous elements, lapillis, and volcanic bombs. The emission of these flows has a suggested age of 1800 years.
You will arrive to the Crater and inside it the lake, the guide will explain to you about its origin and about the flora of this zone, if the day is clear you can see all the scenery from the top of the crater and if the time is enough is possible to go down to the lake and go boating (not included)
Stop for famous Ecuadorian ice cream on the way to Baños.

Fantastic tour guide. Very informative and super interesting. Was also very impressive in answering questions about local history and culture.
We did this tour on our first full day in Ecuador to travel to Baños, and we’re so happy we did! After this tour, we felt that we could leave Ecuador satisfied having seen most every landscape the country has to offer. Erick and our driver; Manuel, were incredibly kind and explained everything thoroughly. The car was comfortable, and they have the perfect built in stops for food/bathrooms so you feel yourself the entirety of the tour, no matter if you have altitude sickness or not. Overall, highly recommend to anyone looking to travel in Ecuador, you won’t regret your day with Erick and Manuel!
An excellent experience! The guide Jose was fantastic! Spent the whole day trying to see the Cotopaxi volcano that was always covered until at the end of the day we got it. This one-way tour is great for those who travel from one city to another without losing what is in the middle
Wowwwwww is what went through our minds for pretty much the entire day. Ricardo took us (with Jefferson safely driving us) everywhere the itinerary said it would and gave us a wealth of information about those places. The lagoon was absolutely breathtaking. Eating lunch at a Quechuan family’s home/restaurant was a great experience. Despite a blackout, they were able to cook us a great meal. I really wanted a stuffed llama and am so glad I bought it there. I paid $10 and saw the same size one at the airport for $35!! It was very cold at Cotopaxi and Quilotoa and I was thankful I had my North Face puffer and fleece with me. We were dropped off right at our hotel in Baños as planned. Everything went without a hitch!

Our family had a wonderful tour from Quito to Banos with Erick and WanderBus. They customised the tour to give us more time in Banos so there was a rest day with a child. On the travelling days we packed in so many amazing sights, including Cotopaxi, Quilotoa and then many brilliant and fun attractions around Banos - a combination of adventure and beautiful scenery. Every stop was worthwhile and thoughtfully chosen. Erick was a great guide, knowledgeable, courteous, patient and good fun. His English was excellent and he was happy to answer all our questions about Ecuador. We fully recommend using WanderBus and Erick for guided tours. Three magical days we’ll not forget!

Amazing time! This is the way to go if making your way down to Baños from Quito. - you really make the most of the day. José and Rodrigo were the best. Very knowledgeable and felt very safe riding around the mountains 😊 definitely worth it

Great full day trip. Our guide was Paul and from pickup at our hotel, to our stops at Cotopaxi and Quilotoa and drop off at the door of our hotel in Banos our trip was awesome. We stopped at Rondador Cotopaxi on our way into Cotopaxi, great fresh food in a pastoral setting- the host was friendly. We worked our way around Cotopaxi and a short hike around a highland lake. From there we headed to Quilotoa, a beautiful volcanic crater lake, had late lunch at a restaurant across from the crater. On the way to Banos stopped for some ice cream- We were safely delivered to our hotel in Banos- Paul and his assistant were knowledgeable and spoke excellent English- We recommend this trip.
