If you have limited time in Punta Arenas, this is the perfect experience. It allows you to cover as much ground as possible. The dates for both trips changed last minute but we were flexible enough as we were in the area for longer. We were still able to avail of the airport transfer. The guides on both tours spoke Spanish and English. The accommodation in Patagonia B&B was basic but sufficient. People were friendly (spoke very little English) and the breakfast was good. Torres del Paine: A very long drive but wonderful views. We were not aware that the entrance fee to the national park needed to be paid separately. There was an additional stop at the Milodon caves which we were not aware of. The entrance fee needed to be paid for separately as well. Tierra del Fuego: Long drive and 2h boat journey which offered great opportunities to spot local wildlife. There was an organised lunch (delicious!) which we didn't know about. Needed to be paid for separately. General comments: it would have been nice to receive more information like what tour operators were doing the trips, the detailed itinerary and what additional costs will incur.
Paloma Thanks for your comments Best regards Veronica
The hotel was not like the photos. Advertised as 3 star and it was more like a hostel. Breakfast was supposed to be at 7 and was not available on any of the days we were there. The tour was advertised as in English but was 100% in Spanish. We did not understand anything. Extremely disappointing. I do not recommend.
The passengers chose that three star Hotel Patagonia B & B We had offered him a Hotel **** (four stars) the tours are in English and Spanish, they speak both languages. The breakfast is at 08:00 a.m. if you want earlier you must notify reception.
