It is worth the climb up the Giatto's Bell Tower in addition to the Duomo dome as the ticket that you purchase includes it. Try to go during the early morning, perhaps after your climb up the Duomo dome as the staircase may get crowded. It is a rather narrow staircase up and down as it is shared. It is several tiers of climbing up stairs to get to the top of the bell tower. Stop at each tier and enjoy the views from them . At one point, you are able to view the top of the Duomo. The views are really great from here also, despite the barbed wire that surrounds the top deck. Take your time to enjoy the views.
Our guide, Sophie was excellent. She was a wealth of information and brought so much to the experience. We have been on other tours in Italy and she is the best to date. Was a hot humid day and adjusted the pace of the tour to us. We learned so much. Was a great experience.
An inspiring and informative tour with breathtaking views of Florence in which you will experience art and history as they collide to create one of a kind building.
