Toledo is an amazing Medieval town with so much history. So many cities in Spain have so much history but Toledo just feels different! The expertise of Irene was beyond ecxpectations.
We visited Toledo not knowing what to expect. We were lucky to have been assigned to Sonia, who had many years of experience, was a wealth of information and very accommodating to the needs of our group. Not only was she very well versed in the history of the cathedral but she knew her way about town, not to mention the familiarity she had with the locals, knowing almost every local we passed along the way by name. As they greeted her, we also felt their warm welcome. She is an amazing tour guide and we would certainly recommend her.
Our morning with guide, Irene, was fascinating. We were able to see so much history of Toledo (even Roman ruins down a secret staircase!), and Irene engaged our children's interests and was just a pleasure to be with. Thank you showing us your beautiful city!
We decided to head to Toledo from Madrid on day 14 of a 16 day family vacation in Spain. I knew we would need some help to keep my family moving....insert Javi(!) We had been on the go and seen many sites and Javi catered our trip to our needs. My kids (19, 17, 12) called Javi the GOAT (greatest of all time) when we said goodbye. He has such a nice demeanor and took us places in the city underground that only private tour guides can access (very special). Javi was born and raised in Toledo and I believe that brought such an insightful layer to his stories and as he educated us about such an incredible city. Toledo is now what my husband and I are talking about wanting to go back and spend more time next time. We recommend this tour!!!
Manuel was our guide and he was great! He was funny, flexible, and knowledgeable. He's lived in Toledo his whole life, and we think he knew everyone in town! It was a great way to get an overview of the city and its history. We chose to see the panoramic view, the Cathedral, and another small cathedral with El Greco's masterpiece. He also took us for the best marzipan in the city!
Lidia, the highly prepared and knowledgeable guide, not only has a fondness for the city but also possesses an understanding of the details of every corner of the city that she knows like the back of her hand. She is a very pleasant person and turns the tour into an unforgettable experience!
Excellent tour to Toledo and the guide Lidia explained everything very well, highly recommended
Lidia, the guide, is a very knowledgeable person who knows the history of her town and country like the back of her hand. She knows all the nooks and crannies of the city, and she is passionate about her work. She turned a sightseeing tour into an unforgettable experience.
Our family of five ( with 3 young adult kids) loved our tour guide Salome! She met us at the train station and was there waiting for us when we were walking off the train. She was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions.. It was nice having a private tour so you could customize the landmarks you wanted to see. Since we were a small group we also were to go into places that would have been difficult if you were with a large group.. Salome make sure we were able to get back to the train station and gave us a few options on how to get there. We took a later train so we could spend a few hours on our own after the tour to eat and look through some of the shops. I would highly recommend this tour, we learned a lot!
This was an incredible experience. Our guide, Sonia was so knowledgable about Toledo and Spanish history. Really enjoyed the tour.
