Both Toledo and Segovia are worth a visit but absolutely not on the same day. A large part of the day was wasted locked up in the Madrid traffic escaping Madrid, returning to central Madrid, escaping Madrid again and returning to central Madrid. Do not take this tour! Choose either Toledo or Segovia and visit them separately. From central Madrid it may be easier to go by train.
Toledo and Segovia are very beautiful places. But I would not recommend to have them in one day. Each of the place deserves to be toured the whole day. The tour guides are great too. Although their customer service needs to be improved, it's raining that day on a cold winter morning, the bus was there already but we were left outside for like 30 mins in the freezing cold.
The guides have nothing distinctive to locate them, I looked for them at the agreed time and never found them, there were many people in the Segovia aqueducts and they left me. I didn't even get a phone call or a message so I could find us. Bad service.
Overall, the itinerary was good, but a few aspects need improvement, especially the restrooms. It would be better if the meeting point for the morning bus departure had restrooms. Whenever I participate in a day trip, including Toledo & Segovia, I have to return to Madrid to transfer to another tour bus, which is quite time-consuming. Furthermore, the lack of restrooms along the way meant almost three hours without being able to use the restroom, which is extremely inconvenient for children and the elderly! We took a double-decker bus that morning, and the environment was very cramped and lacked a sense of space. They didn't turn on the ventilation throughout the journey, so the air was very stuffy and hot, making us feel suffocated. It deserves praise that the tour guide's explanations were very detailed. If you're opting for a one-day tour, I wouldn't recommend it. I recommend joining a half-day tour.
The four-person family chose a less expensive tour than the expensive Korean tour, which is eight years old. It's also cheap and easy to travel with a guide in the city, but we could travel freely and use our vehicles to help. See Toledo View and the cathedral is not covered, but we recommend you to walk freely. Toledo Cathedral is destroyed, so make sure to visit! Toledo is cheap and market quality. The two city bus ride is long, but it's good to relax. The way to Segovia was great, the Segovia monastery, the princess castle are all great, and it's also good time to take pictures of the princess. The Segovia Cathedral is less exciting than the Toledo Cathedral. You'd rather have some rest at the dessert shop. It's good to be a family unit for this tour. Recommend!
VPT office located near Templo de Debod. We arrived there early so we took a short visit to the temple. It was beautiful. The tour guides are very friendly and knowledgeable. Toledo and Segovia are amazing. The only pity is time is too short.
Tour organized very well times respected with very prepared staff Toledo and Segovia have a very compelling charm full of history.
We booked the 8:30 AM Toledo and Segovia tour from Madrid and were disappointed with several aspects of the experience. Although the initial bus ride to Toledo was comfortable, the tour group was far too large, and our guide was difficult to understand, which made it hard to enjoy or learn from the visit. The return trip to Madrid—before transferring to the Segovia bus—was extremely uncomfortable due to excessive heat on the bus. By the time we arrived back in Madrid at 1:45 PM, we felt so unwell that we decided to leave the group to get fresh air. As a result, we ended up skipping the Segovia portion entirely. Overall, the tour felt disorganized and uncomfortable, and we regret that it prevented us from enjoying what should have been a great day trip. We would not book this tour again.
Very punctual excellent guides Ana is an incredible guide and dedicated to show tourists the magnificent place to visit
The part visiting Toledo excellently well. Julio Cesar the guide in Toledo one of the best guides I have ever met. Congratulations on your knowledge. The Segovia part a disaster, we arrived and the guide was not to meet us, we are greeted by another person who tells us to go for coffee and go to the bathrooms that at 16:45 the guide would meet us next to the aqueduct. That's 1 hour 45 after you arrived, the guide would appear. To top it off, the emissary didn’t express himself very well in English so many didn’t understand what was going on. The visit of course incomplete only the church and ready. If you can't do both right, don't offer them.
