Tokyo Walking Tour : Sumo, Sushi, Tea, Temples and Tokyo Tower

Please note that this tour does not use a private vehicle and uses public transport. This tour involves several hours of walking in the outdoors You will have the opportunity to see Sumo Wrestlers train, try the freshest and best Sushi and street food in Tokyo, walk through a traditional Japanese garden and visit a tea house, walk around an historic Buddhist temple complex and park, and finally pay a visit to one of Tokyo’s most famous observation decks – Tokyo Tower. The tour will provide guests with a well balanced itinerary including a Sumo Beya, food and drink, gardens and parks, shrines and temples, and iconic architecture. Note - The Sumo Beya schedule is subject to change, sometimes the Sumo will not be training and you not be able to see Sumo. Training is also closed during certain weeks throughout the year when the Grand Sumo Tournaments are being held during the months of January, May and September.

Itinerary
Your first destination will be a traditional Sumo Beya (Training Room) where you will have the exciting opportunity to watch Sumo train! Please note that this is real training and the Sumo cannot be disturbed. Therefore visitors can only watch from outside through the large viewing windows. You cannot enter the Sumo Beya. Depending on the Sumo’s schedule after training, they sometimes come outside for photo opportunities with the visitors.
Your next destination will be Tsukiji Outer Market where you will have a guided tour and enjoy sampling the many foods on offer. You can also enjoy free time here to explore at your pace, take pictures and shop!
Here you will have a guided introduction to the garden and its history. You can then enjoy some free time before we meet back up to have a traditional tea and sweet experience in a beautiful tea house at the garden.
Your guide will give you a tour of the temple and its history. The tour also includes a Sutra copying experience at the temple. Whether you’re spiritual or not, this experience provides you a moment of peace and calm where you will copy your sutra inside the temple, and can enjoy the smell of incense burning.
Here you will enjoy taking in the sights of Tokyo and the retro feel of the Tower's architecture.

The itinerary is what attracted me the most, and it was fully completed, although somewhat faster than estimated, which I found better; I didn't see the point in it lasting so long. I believe it covers very contrasting and super interesting aspects of Tokyo, which gives the tour a very original perspective. It is well managed and well organized. We did it in English; the guide was not very fluent and did not provide much information, which I found to be the weakest point, so I do not rate it as excellent. I enjoyed it very much.
Excellent activity with Mr. Nobu, kind and attentive. He gave us an excellent tour and provided all the necessary information to enjoy the activity.
Our guide (Nobu) made the experience personal and memorable. He had decades of local knowledge and was able to make the experience rich in culture and enjoyable while exploring Tokyo. Thank you!

My mate and I had a fantastic day with Jeff, he gave us a really in depth look into a side of Tokyo we hadn’t experienced yet. We had so many questions and he was able to answer them all with ease. He is a really good bloke, was very fun to get lunch with him and have a chat. I would highly recommend going with him if you are in Tokyo
Even though Wednesday was unfortunate day of random closed shops. Jeff our tour guide kept us entertained throughout day
The Fish Market (street food) was a highlight we will return to do another day. Tokyo Tower was good even though I am not good with heights
This tour is great, Jade was our guide, and her enthusiasm is showing off her country was an awesome experience in to itself, the tea in the park is amazing... These small group tours are a great way to experience Japan and feels very personal to you and you're small group, she even gave us some awesome suggestions on places to visit on our free days that turned out to be fantastic like Nakano Broadway, awesome
The best tour ever!!! Tiga was such a lovely guide and was so helpful and very knowledgeable! We got on so well and even showed us how to use the train station. Will definitely be recommending to friends.
