What an eye opening experience! The explanation of the symbolic meaning behind every action during the ceremony gave me a deeper appreciation for the Japanese culture. Thank you for sharing this with my family and I. This is an activity I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I highly recommend booking this tea ceremony!

I’ve done a few tea ceremonies in Kyoto, but this one in Asakusa was honestly even better. First of all, you get two rounds of high-quality sweets here, not just one! They also explain the meaning behind each step of the tea ceremony, which made the whole experience much more meaningful than others I’ve attended. The hosts speak excellent English and are always happy to chat and answer any questions. I also loved that you can wear a kimono during the experience. It’s much less stressful than renting one elsewhere and worrying about spilling something on it or getting it dirty. Another big advantage is that chairs are provided, so you don’t have to sit in the seiza position, which can be quite uncomfortable for many people. It’s a tiny group, only four people—so you receive plenty of personal attention from the tea master. If you’re looking for a chill, authentic way to dive into Japanese culture, definitely book this place!

Thank you for your wonderful review! We are absolutely delighted to hear that you highly recommend our tea ceremony and found it to be an even better experience than others you've had. It's truly rewarding to know that we could offer you a ""chill, authentic way to dive into Japanese culture."" We are especially pleased that you appreciated the two rounds of high-quality sweets, the detailed explanations of each step, and the excellent English communication from our hosts. Providing a comfortable and meaningful experience, including the opportunity to wear a kimono and the availability of chairs for ease, is central to our philosophy at our tea ceremony school near Honjo-Azumabashi Station. Our small group size ensures personal attention, which we believe enhances the learning and enjoyment for everyone. Your kind words are a great encouragement to our entire team. We are committed to continuing to offer such unique and thoughtful experiences. We sincerely hope to welcome you back again on your next visit to Japan.

Delightful experience. We loved getting to wear kimonos. It ended up being just our family, so it felt like a private experience

Great fun, history, and culture!!!

This was such an incredible experience. While the matcha is an acquired taste, it was certainly an honor to learn the history and ritual of the tea ceremony. Would ceremony recommend. Ichi go ichi e.

A beautiful and educational experience

The tea ceremony was beautiful and informative, and the tea was delicious. I chose my kimono from a wide selection and they helped me put it on correctly, then took a bunch of pictures for me on my phone and with my camera. The amount of individual attention was far more than I expected.
