Tokyo Private Walking Tour with a Local

Description
Skip the standard sightseeing tour and discover Tokyo through the eyes of a local. With Lokafy, every tour is private, unscripted, and personalized to you. Your Lokafyer is a passionate local who shares stories, hidden gems, and authentic tips you won’t find in a guidebook. They aren’t professional guides with memorized scripts, they're locals who love their city and want you to experience it like a friend would. Whether you’re interested in food, art, history, or simply exploring the neighborhoods beyond the tourist spots, your Lokafyer will adapt the walk to your interests. By the end, you’ll feel at home in the city, with insights to keep exploring on your own.

We had no idea how big the city was. Edwardo did a great job getting us to as many spots as he could old a d we saw a lot and learned a bit about the trains
I had written that I wanted a tour of Shinjuku and I provided a list of places to see. The tour company did not follow anything for my customized tour or listen to my request. They responded to my emails but clearly didn’t read. My guide Rene was good but it was not the tour I wanted. I wasted my time and money in a random area. There was not much to see. The meeting point was Tokyo Tower which made no sense. I told the tour company I had already seen Tokyo Skytree. Do not use this tour company if you want a customized tour. They did not nothing to compensate me after I emailed them. I clearly said I wanted to see a certain area of Shinjuku but they made a generic tour.
The walking tour was worth it since we hadn’t been to the areas we toured before. Lilian was very knowledgeable of the area and she had interesting insights.
Romana was a charming guide and made our tour most enjoyable . We didn’t want to do a lot and she paced her time as we wanted - thank you
What a great experience! This is a must do for anyone visiting for the 1st time. We are able to get a base lay of the land to later explore during our time here. Our tour guide Eduardo Castillo was a class act. Be sure to request him. He was very personal and knowledgeable and showed us some great spots.
Please note: This review is not by Theresa D. This tour with this guide is good if you need assistance getting from one place to another. You will need to know what you want to see and have done the homework on how long it takes to get from one place to another to ensure you will get to do your circuit. We spent most of the time on transportation and saw a couple of highly populated tourist attractions in four hours in addition to the most enjoyed 'extra' of a rickshaw ride by Yuka, a most delightful young woman who had the power of an X-woman athlete! Look her up on YouTube - YukaChan. She was incredible.
