My tour with Shino was, without question, one of the highlights of my entire trip to Japan. When my son's plans changed unexpectedly, I found myself exploring Tokyo on my own. From the very beginning, Shino was incredibly kind, flexible, and welcoming, ensuring that I still had a truly memorable experience. Rather than simply visiting famous tourist attractions, she introduced me to the heart and soul of Tokyo. We attended a beautiful Buddhist service that was peaceful and profoundly moving, visited a quiet neighborhood and shrine, explored a centuries-old traditional shop, and stopped at an artisan's workshop where I found beautiful handcrafted treasures that I will cherish for years to come. What makes Shino exceptional is not only her knowledge but her genuine warmth. She shared fascinating insights into Japanese history, customs, and everyday life, patiently answered every question, and tailored the day to my interests. It never felt like a scripted tour—it felt like spending the day with someone who truly loves her country and wanted me to experience its culture in a meaningful way. My husband and I had a wonderful time with Shino. A lot of tours promise “hidden gems” but she really delivers! She proposed several original itineraries based on our interests. The option we chose exceeded our expectations - stunning, uncrowded and off the beaten track. Shino was charming and delightful company, full of knowledge and insights about Japanese culture and society, both past and present. We spent a half day with her and wished we had more time.
