Itinerary
Tsukiji Outer Market is Japan’s “Food Town,” where one can encounter all kinds of traditional Japanese foods. A mixture of wholesale and retail shops, along with numerous restaurants, line the streets, and new culinary trends are born here.
Sensoji (浅草寺, Sensōji, also known as Asakusa Kannon Temple) is a Buddhist temple located in Asakusa. It is one of Tokyo's most colorful and popular temples. The legend says that in the year 628, two brothers fished a statue of Kannon, the goddess of mercy, out of the Sumida River, and even though they put the statue back into the river, it always returned to them. Consequently, Sensoji was built nearby for the goddess of Kannon. The temple was completed in 645, making it Tokyo's oldest temple.
This project is optional and tickets are at your own expense. The Tokyo Skytree (東京スカイツリー) is a television broadcasting tower and landmark of Tokyo. It is the centerpiece of the Tokyo Skytree Town in the Sumida City Ward, not far away from Asakusa. With a height of 634 meters (634 can be read as "Musashi", a historic name of the Tokyo Region), it is the tallest structure in Japan and was the second tallest in the world at the time of its completion. A large shopping complex with an aquarium is located at its base.
The current Imperial Palace (皇居, Kōkyo) is located on the former site of Edo Castle, a large park area surrounded by moats and massive stone walls in the center of Tokyo, a short walk from Tokyo Station. It is the residence of Japan's Imperial Family.
Shibuya Scramble Crossing (渋谷スクランブル交差点, Shibuya sukuranburu kōsaten), commonly known as Shibuya Crossing, is a popular pedestrian scramble crossing in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. It is located in front of the Shibuya Station Hachikō exit and stops vehicles in all directions to allow pedestrians to inundate the entire intersection. The statue of Hachikō, between the station and the intersection, is a common meeting place, which is almost always crowded.
Meiji Shrine (明治神宮, Meiji Jingū) is a shrine dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his consort, Empress Shoken. Located just beside the JR Yamanote Line's busy Harajuku Station, Meiji Shrine and the adjacent Yoyogi Park make up a large forested area within the densely built-up city. The spacious shrine grounds offer walking paths that are great for a relaxing stroll.

Reviews(1)
Here is text taken directly from the tour listing (their words): “ With knowledgeable drivers fluent in multiple languages, including English and Mandarin, you'll gain deep insights into Tokyo's rich culture and vibrant history.” Our experience was nothing close to the description. The tour is simply a car service that brings you to 6 fixed destination. The driver spoke very little English so we tried to use Google Translate and ChatGPT to bridge the gap which was not successful. We asked to modify the itinerary to go to a Japanese Garden. Because of the language barrier we were unable to alter the itinerary. For the entire day a maximum of 50 words were spoken between our family and the driver. We would be dropped off at a location, she would point where to go and we’d meet her back at the drop off. No history, no culture no direction. It was particularly challenging being dropped off at the Sky Tree and we had to figure out on our own where to buy tickets, where to eat and how to navigate. So, our conclusion is this tour is not as described. We did everything (with the exception of driving) on our own and paid a lot of money to do so.
Thank you very much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations and that it caused frustration during your visit. We would like to gently clarify that this service is intended to provide private transportation with a professional driver, rather than a fully guided tour. The driver’s role is to ensure safe and smooth travel between the scheduled destinations. While some drivers may be able to communicate in basic English or other languages, they are not professional tour guides and therefore are not responsible for providing detailed cultural explanations or on-site guiding services. We sincerely apologize for the communication difficulties you experienced, as well as any inconvenience this may have caused when adjusting your itinerary. We fully understand how important clear communication and flexibility are, especially when traveling in a foreign country, and we regret that we fell short in this regard. Your comments are very valuable to us, and we will carefully review them with our team to improve both our service description and the overall guest experience in the future. Thank you again for your honest feedback, and we wish you and your family many more enjoyable and smooth journeys ahead.
