Tokyo Kintsugi Accessory Making Workshop in Shibuya

Description
Step into the serene world of Kintsugi, the ancient Japanese art of "golden repair." In this hands-on workshop, you will explore the poetic philosophy that an object’s history—including its breaks and repairs—makes it more precious, rather than something to be discarded. Under the guidance of a skilled instructor, you’ll learn the meticulous techniques of bonding ceramic fragments and finishing them with shimmering gold powders, transforming shattered pieces into resilient works of art. Throughout the session, you will shift your focus from traditional pottery to the creation of delicate, wearable art and home accents. You will have the opportunity to design and assemble custom accessories, such as pendants or earrings, as well as unique decorative ornaments. We provide all the necessary materials, including high-quality ceramics and specialised resins, ensuring that even complete beginners can achieve a professional finish.

My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful time at the Tokyo Kintsugi Accessory Making Workshop in Shibuya. This was one of the most unique and memorable experiences of our trip to Japan. The instructors were welcoming, patient, and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain the history and philosophy behind Kintsugi—the beautiful art of embracing imperfections and finding beauty in repair. Their guidance made the process enjoyable and easy to follow, even for complete beginners. The workshop was hands-on, creative, and relaxing. We loved being able to design and create our own accessories while learning about a traditional Japanese art form. The materials were high quality, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. What made the experience especially meaningful was sharing it together as a couple. Creating something with our own hands and taking home a unique piece that we made ourselves gave us a special souvenir and lasting memory of our time in Tokyo. If you’re looking for an authentic cultural experience beyond the typical tourist attractions, I highly recommend this workshop. It’s a perfect activity for couples, families, or anyone interested in Japanese culture and craftsmanship. Thank you to the entire team for such a fantastic experience!
My wife and I had an amazing time at the Kintsugi Accessory Making Workshop. Lemy & Show were phenomenal! They were patient, knowledgeable, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. Learning the art and meaning behind Kintsugi—embracing imperfections and finding beauty in restoration—made the workshop even more meaningful. Creating our own accessories together was relaxing, fun, and a unique bonding experience. Everything was well organized, and all the materials provided were high quality. We left with beautiful handmade keepsakes and memories we’ll always cherish. I highly recommend this workshop to couples, friends, or anyone looking for a creative and meaningful activity. It was truly a one-of-a-kind experience that we’ll never forget!
