Description
The Tokyo Anime Adventure with Japan Awaits is a private 3-hour experience arranged exclusively for your booked group. Begin at the Suginami Animation Museum, where you will learn about the history and production of Japanese animation. Then travel with your English-speaking guide to a local Anime School and Studio in Nakano for an introduction to its creative environment and the different roles involved in anime and manga production. The experience concludes with a hands-on anime drawing workshop led by an experienced instructor. No previous drawing experience is required, and standard drawing materials are provided.

- Age Requirement
- The minimum participation age is 8 years old. Adult pricing applies to all guests aged 8 and above.
- Guests aged 8–17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18 or older. The accompanying adult must also be included in the booking.
- Drawing Experience
- No previous drawing experience is required. The workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as guests who already enjoy drawing.
- The exact lesson content may vary depending on the instructor and the participants’ experience levels.
- Anime School and Studio Access
- The experience includes a visit to an Anime School and Studio and an introduction to the anime production process.
- Access to specific classrooms, work areas, staff members, production materials, or active commercial productions may vary depending on operations on the day and is not guaranteed.
- Late Arrival
- Although this is a private tour, the guide can wait for up to 30 minutes after the scheduled start time. Please contact your guide immediately if you expect to be late. If you have not arrived within 30 minutes, the booking will be treated as a no-show and the tour will not proceed.
- Standard Cancellation Policy:
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 5 days or less before event
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled 7 days or less before event
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 25% if booking is cancelled 10 days or less before event

It was a very enjoyable experience, Yuko Nakamura was very kind and was super helpful, especially when we need to get a taxi to go back to our hotel, she waited with us and ordered one to come to our location. The staff at the Anime school were also very nice and talkative so we learned a lot, the lady(I forgot her name sadly) that took us around the school and taught us to draw was very awesome and sweet.

I took this tour while on a study abroad trip and it was a great experience! I learned so much about Tokyo and Japanese culture. Our tour guide, Hiro, was very knowledgeable and booked lunch at a local restaurant which was delicious! I would recommend this to anyone visiting Japan.

The tour was fabulous! Our guide Kaz, was excellent. Her was very knowledgeable & of great assistance. We would not have been able to do it without him. Both the studio & museum were very interesting. The teacher @ the studio was so nice & an excellent teacher. I would highly recommend this tour if you are a fan of anime or manga.
