Itinerary
We begin at the beating heart of Strasbourg, a grand square that has witnessed revolutions, markets and celebrations for over 600 years. Your guide — look for the red or blue umbrella — will introduce the city and set the scene for the journey ahead.
We admire the breathtaking Gothic facade of one of the tallest cathedrals in the world, built over 300 years from pink Vosges sandstone. We discover the stories behind its legendary astronomical clock, its rose window, and the gargoyles that have watched over the city since the Middle Ages.
We pass by the former residence of the powerful Rohan cardinals, a masterpiece of French classical architecture. Today it houses three world-class museums. We uncover the remarkable political and religious figures who shaped this city's destiny from these very walls.
We stop at this elegant square to discover the legacy of Johannes Gutenberg, who invented the printing press right here in Strasbourg. A story that changed the world — and very few travelers know it happened here.
We explore the most picturesque neighbourhood in Strasbourg: a 16th-century labyrinth of timber-framed houses, canals and cobblestone lanes. Once home to tanners, millers and fishermen, we reveal the real — and surprising — history behind this iconic postcard image.
We conclude the tour at Strasbourg's medieval defensive towers and the magnificent Vauban Dam, offering one of the finest panoramic views in all of Alsace. Your guide wraps up the story of the city here and this is where tips are warmly welcomed!
We step inside one of the finest Romanesque-Gothic churches in Alsace, home to the monumental Silbermann organ — one of the most celebrated in Europe — and the remarkable mausoleum of Marshal de Saxe. A hidden gem that most visitors walk straight past.

Learning the history of Strasbourg gives you a greater understanding of the sights. Erick was a wonderful guide. We had an early tour and ended up being the only participants so it was very easy to ask questions about the city. Thoroughly recommend
My train was late so I missed the original time. My nice tour guide allowed me to rearrange to a later time. That one was cancelled so he arranged for me to go with Gidda solo! I had a one on one tour with Gidda and he was so informative, so cordial, and so wonderfully sweet. I had a wonderful time and I am now filled with the love and historical information related to Strasbourg!
Excellent convivial and knowledgeable walk around the city highlights. Enjoyable, even on a hot day. Thanks, Jidda!
