The Thonburi Canal and Food tour was excellent and showed us another side of this magnificent city. It is a great experience and one not to be missed. Our guide Noot (I'm sorry if I have misspelt this) was fantastic and we could have wished for better. One point that I hope the operator will amend is the drop off from the long tailed boat in the Chao Phraya River at the dock. It was bit of a climb from the low boat onto a higher riverside platform and the river was a little choppy. It was a bit uncomfortable doing this. Other than that the food was great, the areas interesting and as before our guide was lovely. I would do this tour again without hesitation.
My daughter and I had an amazing experience with Jongkie, who immediately made us feel welcome. I appreciated that she asked us questions up front so that she could adapt and tailor the tour to what we wanted. I am not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best tours I have ever been on. We loved all the different foods as well as exploring lesser known markets in Thonburi, and the boat was a great way of getting around the area and experiencing the district from a different perspective. My daughter loved making her own bracelet at Artists House, as well as feeding the fish. The trip left us with an appetite to return and explore more of the city with Jongkie.
May was a super lovely, friendly and knowledgable guide. She introduced us to some fabulous new, truly authentic Thai food and some fantastic, beautiful and interesting places. We even learnt a few Thai words describe the exceptionally delicious food we tried. The boat trip was an added bonus to all the great food and experiences. We would highly recommend this tour.
We loved our food tour with Jongkie - it was a highlight of our time in Bangkok. A real voyage of discovery both culinary and to locations we would not have encountered on our own. Jongkie is wonderful company, an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide, and we had the best food of our trip with her.
May gave my wife and I an absolutely wonderful tour around the canal with some excellent food highlights. If you are considering this tour you should certainly go! As this was only our second day in Thailand, we appreciated her knowledge of not only the canal and food we were trying, but also Bangkok and Thai culture more broadly. May encouraged us to sample more varieties of dishes and left us with not only a list of everything we ate but also suggestions of what to eat next—plus helped ensure we were able to get to our next destination.
Our guide Jongkie was wonderful, we had an amazing time. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see a bit of Bangkok and sample some food. We explored the Thonburi area, visited some temples, wandered round some markets and went on boats on the canal and the river. And, most importantly, we tried a lot of food. I have had Thai food many times before, but many of these dishes were new to me. Jongkie took us to some stalls and small restaurants, places that we wouldn't have found ourselves. Some of them are family businesses that have been handed down from one generation to the next. Jongkie told us about the food and the area and even gave us some advice about how to make some of the dishes ourselves. She also took a lot of photos and videos for us and sent them to me, so we have a record of our day. This tour was the highlight of our time in Bangkok.
Jongkie was a fabulous tour guide. I tried so many foods that I had never tried before. We had a lot of fun off of the beaten track.
Jongkie is a fantastic guide. Lots of fantastic local food and we had a great time. Highly recommend you do this if you are ever in Bangkok.
May was a wonderful tour guide. Friendly, informative, and went above and beyond helping us get home. Despite the rain, we had a great time. Everything we ate was delicious.
Excellent tour. Jongkie was great with our two kids and overall very flexible in adapting to our preferences on the fly. Would highly recommend!
