This region of labyrinthine streams, rivers and islands owes its name to the type of mouth of the Paraná River and to the actual presence of the yaguareté. Part of the Delta tour: The Puerto de Frutos is perhaps the most visited place by tourists who arrive at Tigre every weekend. In its beginnings, the Puerto de Fruto received and commercialized the fruits that were produced on the islands. At present, the Puerto de Frutos offers visitors plants, typical products made of reeds, furniture and objects to decorate the house. It is located on the right bank of the Luján River a few blocks from the Fluvial Station. We will cross the port so that you have the possibility of admiring the crafts and doing shopping.

Tigre Delta is a group of...

Tigre Delta is a group of island forming from the sediment brought into Buenos Aires from the currents. As the islands form people gradually populate them, seeking a quiet way of life or weekend breaks. Houses and jetties are built on stilts to allow for tides. A 2 hour boat trip, brief visit to local market followed by bus trip back to the centre of Buenos Aires. Unfortunately while returning there was a bad storm so we got wet on the 5 block walk back to our hotel. A really interesting trip.

Very interesting

Very interesting tour that covered a lot of the history of Buenos Aires and surrounding area. Our guide spoke English very well and explained things completely to us. The boat ride on the river was OK, would have been so much better if the windows were able to be opened. It became quite stuffy inside the boat. All in all, it was a good tour.
