We were in town and visiting family and so we decided to check this NPS site off our list and get a cancellation stamp within our passport book. We arranged for the tour ahead of time and we were not disappointed with our visit. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and patient with all our questions. My daughter completed the Junior Ranger activity booklet and was able to receive her badge for this site. At the end, the ranger even offered some good recommendations on where we could walk to easily for lunch. Really got a lot of value out of our visit, but mainly to the great folks who work here. TIP: Parking is free in the NPS lot for this site
A nice stop and a good history lesson on Roosevelt’s path to his presidency.
So much history here to learn! The movie was great and the guide was very knowledgeable!
What an excellent stop on our visit to Buffalo. We loved this informative and entertaining tour of the Ansley Wilcox House where TR became President in 1901. The tour is so different from other Park tours in that our docent 'took us back to 1901' through film and photo stories plus we were in the actual home where it happened. This is very much worth your time to visit. It's also lovely to be able to support the National Park system.
We arrived about ten minutes early and checked out the lobby and gift shop. Then our tour guide Connor joined us to take us on the tour. He was very friendly and informative. The tour was based heavily on the history of the building, the history of Buffalo and Teddy's inauguration there. It was mostly interesting and worth checking out. The tour is only about 45 minutes long, you're in & out in an hour and there's ample parking in the back.
Enjoyed our tour guide very much. He was very knowledgeable about President Roosevelt and what was going on in that time period. Actually installed emotion a few times which I liked very much. Just an overall great experience with our tour on all levels.
The tour was informative and I learned some facts about the inauguration that I didn’t know. I enjoyed the architecture in the house.
This was such a wonderful gem of a tour. The house is beautifully preserved and the interactive nature of the tour made the whole trip well worthwhile. Rob is an excellent tour guide and had so many juicy tidbits on the life of Roosevelt, the inauguration and the world’s fair. What an amazing experience!
A highlight of our trip to Niagara Falls and Buffalo. Very well present with a good balance of old and new technology to c rate an incredibly well done tour and experience. `gives a wonderful feel into T Roosevelt as a person during this time of strife. Whole experience is a little over an hour
