The Wing Ride: The Hidden History of Chicken Wings Food Tour

Description
Earn your wings on this fresh Buffalo food tour with samples of Buffalo's tastiest chicken wings. We’ll dive deep into the history of Buffalo’s most famous and misunderstood dish and attempt to answer the question, “Who was the true inventor of the first Buffalo Wing?”. The tour begins with a visit with Lina Brown Young, daughter Buffalo’s original King Of Wings, who shares personal photos, stories, and her dad’s long-lost mumbo wing recipe, which had been unavailable for 23 years. We’ll continue with a stop at the Anchor Bar, where we’ll learn the wild story of how their wings were born by accident and sample their classic Buffalo Wing. The tour concludes with a visit to Tiny Thai, where we’ll sample a legendary recipe that connects the past, present, and future of chicken wings. Experience the tour that’s been featured by the Food Network, NY Times, and Vice Media, and learn how an American food icon came to be. * Tour stops subject to change. Ride is 9-10 miles.

My wife and I had a great time on this tour. Our guide, Marc, provided us with a great history of wings as well as the city of Buffalo. His sense of humor and friendliness made the tour very enjoyable. The three places we stopped at offered a different style and flavor of wings and they were all delicious. The biking was not that hard and I would recommend this tour to anyone.
We had a great day with Marc. We learned alot about the Buffalo area, and, of course, the history of the Buffalo Wings. Marc took us to a few different places for the wings, but, our favorite was from Tiny Thai. Make sure you ask to go there, (if possible), so you can do your own comparison. Would highly recommend this tour.
Haha, great having you aboard. Glad you could enjoy both Buffalo Bike Tours and Tiny Thai, a great combo to be sure
Dan did a great job with the tour! He gave us history of the city and information about the buffalo wing! It was fun experience while in town. The e bike was a blast
Great to hear. Thanks for joining!
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Wings were great. Biking was safe and enjoyable. Would highly recommend. Nice to see the areas of Buffalo.
Thanks kindly for the review and for joining us. Appreciate it!
Seeing the city on a bike was fantastic! Tasting all the wings was a great added bonus! Would definitely recommend.
Thanks so much for joining us and for sharing your experience! We’re thrilled you enjoyed seeing Buffalo by bike and tasting some of our favorite wings along the way. Your description sounds like a five-star time, and we’d love to know if there’s anything we could have done to make your ride even better. We’re always looking for ways to improve, so feel free to reach out with suggestions. Hope to see you back on another tour soon!
Make sure you’re comfortable riding an e-bike in traffic, with or without bike lanes, ready to eat some yummy wings, and enjoy the stories behind the “rise” of chicken wings. Our guide was very informative on the subject and ensured our comfort level was met.
Thanks, Tammy! Appreciate the review and glad you could join us
Marc did a FANTASTIC job. My wife and I did the tour yesterday on 7/1/25. We are full time RVers from Yuma AZ. Marc paired us up with another couple who just happened to Be from AZ also. Marc was very entertaining, informative and just a lot of fun to ride with. Oh…& the Wings were Fantastic!!! We haven’t sampled the wings from Marc’s wife’s food truck (The Tiny Thai) yet but looking forward to them today. We highly recommend doing a tour with Marc( who also happens to play a pretty mean Ukulele!)
Grateful you took the ride with us!
Live to visit Buffalo . Went to Shays Buffalo to see Lion King.. gorgeous theatre. Christmas market by the Richardson Hotel was next level fantastic, diverse and varied. Also, can’t wait to stay at the Richardson hotel on our next visit.
Glad you enjoyed the city. We don't run tours in the winter so the review itself is confusing, but glad you enjoyed the city :)
Our guide Marc was very passionate about sharing his knowledge about the history of Buffalo and wings. We learned a lot!
Awesome to hear and so glad to share my city and its cultural heritage with you
Loved biking in the city, learning about chicken wing history, and tasting some delicious wings. Our tour guide Marc was very knowledgeable and fun. The tour was well planned and thought out. I will be taking other tours with Buffalo Bike tours in the future.
Wonderful to hear. Hope to see you again ... before it snows!
