A castle rivaling those of Europe, built on the St. Lawrence River, in the heart of the 1000 Islands. However it was not to be, Mrs. Boldt passed away suddenly just months before the completion of the castle. Mr. Boldt was inconsolable and immediately stopped all construction on Heart Island, leaving the property vacant for over seventy years… The Thousand Islands Bridge Authority (TIBA), who owns and operates Boldt Castle and the Boldt Yacht House, invite you to explore our website. Stop at Rock Island Lighthouse State Park where visitors can climb to the top of the Lighthouse, walk the island, and visit the keepers cottage which is a museum and gift shop.

Well worth the money. It was nice boat ride to the Bolt Castle. We also enjoyed the visit to the lighthouse.

The trip was well organized and run. Captain Matt and guide Dennis were awesome. I would 100 percent recommend. We did the lunch time 5 hour cruise with 1.5 ho7r stop at Boldt castle. It was wonderful

What a great tour! Absolutely gorgeous weather and a well run trip. We would recommend. They provide a brown bag lunch that includes a drink, sandwich , chips and a cookie , you eat when you want to. Drinks/bar on board if you want. Captain Matt got us safely to our destinations and kept the group ( max of 50) on time, but we never felt rushed. Our guide Dennis , was wonderful. He was full of information about the islands and the homes as we made our way to/ from Boldt Castle and the Lighthouse. Plenty of time at each ! 5 hour tour and we did not feel it was too long. Loved the day.
Good navigation through the Lawrence River. Narrator gave abundance of information. Wear sunscreen and bring bottled water. Might suggest binoculars and a map of the river with the names of the Islands labeled. Also suggest to the company previous suggested map and more historical fact about tge use of the waterways. It was a beautiful day.
