The Rock located in the south east, on the Michamwi Pingwe peninsula. The Blue Lagoon is just Off Michamvi Peninsula it’s snorkeling trip is tide dependent, so always necessary to check for high and low tide, low tide is usually better for sight and with calm water which makes it better underwater visibility of corals and fish as well as for swimming itself. The turquoise blue waters invite any aqua-fanatics for some lovely exploration of tropical fishes and reefs! Mingle with tropical fish, there is abundance of tropical colorful little fish: parrot fish, Lion fish, Zebra fish, Triggerfish, Goat fish, Cornet fish, Eel, Squirrel fish, Surgeon fish, Blue sea chub, Yellow Boxfish, Butterfly fish and many more.

- The restaurant has changed the booking condition, needs a deposit (see amount in Exclusion) per customer nonrefundable. As we are offering to our customers free cancellation up to 24hrs before tours start time, we cannot afford this restaurant nonrefundable condition. From now we are leaving the table reservation to the customers themselves. The customers are required to book a 12:00 pm table only

So much advertising we were negative from the beginning. Nevertheless, we booked dinner 2 months before our arrival, in the exterior of the restaurant. Enchanting access, perfect food for Zanzibar, incredible atmosphere!

A dream!! A spectacular place, the dishes were exquisite, quality ingredients, fresh fish, all prepared with care! I found the low tide but all around it was a wonderful picture!! I think it is one of the most spectacular and special places I have ever seen!
We were really looking forward to the experience of eating at the Rock. We were really disappointed - overrated tourist trap!!! Struggled to enter the restaurant due to tourists - who were not diners - wanting to take photos on the steps/entrance of the restaurant. We felt we were herded in and out of the restaurant, they have 5 sittings a day !!!!! - two hours apart:( A great money making scheme from a business point of view - but certainly not a personal culinary or Special experience from A diners point of view. I ordered Seafood pappardelle - not a prawn to be seen!!! The waitress informed me that it was actually fish sauce not seafood - disappointed to say the least - awful, could have cooked better myself :(
Disappointed or number of boats docked that prevents swimming under risk of bathing in an ocean of gasoline. Memories are very expensive on the island. They see in us a blue card on legs. A tip, choose the side of Zanzibar where the beach is beautiful and makes you want to swim.
A beautiful evening with very good food and great, friendly service. The location is simply spectacular! We will never forget this evening!
We booked a half day tour with this company a month in advance. At 6:30pm the night prior they cancelled the tour with no explanation. They did refund our money. Do not recommend as unreliable.
