The Official "Hocus Pocus" Movie Locations Tour of Salem

There is a lot of walking on this tour with not many opportunities to sit down., or use the bathroom. However, Grace was a delightful and informative guide, and we enjoyed the Salem and Hocus Pocus sites.🎃🎃🎃

Salem "Hocus Pocus" Movie Locations Tour was great overall. The meeting spot was easy to find, and I recommend getting there 5-10 minutes early. Violet was an excellent tour guide, and she included some fun trivia in the tour. Our journey began at the Salem Common and ended at Pioneer Village. This was little over a three-mile walk, so comfortable walking shoes are required. I also recommend using the restroom before you head to the meeting spot. I would also bring some water and either wear a hat or carry an umbrella for the weather that day. Pioneer Village is only open on the weekends, so keep that in mind before you book this tour. The price of the tour was a bit much for what it is worth; however, if you are a huge fan of the movie, then I recommend taking this tour.

Fun experience for any Hocus Pocus fan! Our guide had tones of knowledge and the movie and town of Salem. Would do it again! My whole family enjoyed it

Not only did we get trivia questions w/ rewards; we also got to learn some history facts about Salem. Definitely worth the time!

We had such an amazing time! Rebecca was our tour guide and highly recommend her!! She is so kind and sweet. She made sure everyone was good during the walk. Rebecca gave a lot information about the making of the film. She is truly the best!

You must wear good walking shoes and be physically able to walk 3+miles one way on a hot day. There are no restroom stops on the trip so plan accordingly. There is one market stop for drinks and Micheal, our tour guide brought candy for the group, but bring water to stay hydrated on a hot day. The tour ends cross town from where it started, so you have to fend for yourself to get back. Many folks took an uber back, but if you’re able to walk some more, you can get back in about 30-35 minutes using a more direct route which is quite scenic along the harbor Micheal, our tour guide, was very informative and entertaining. If you saw the movie “Hocus Pocus” and are a bit of a fan, then you should enjoy the walk, but otherwise I would choose something different. We learned a lot of Salem history and saw a few of the buildings used in the movie, but only the outsides, as most of the inside shots were filmed in Hollywood. Please note that the meeting location given is the closest GPS spot available. You actually meet on the south side of the Washington Square Commons, the large field area across from the GPS address where the basketball courts are.

Luckily, we were a small group that let us explore a bit more. Michael was a great guide that told us a lot about the city as well as the movie. He knew when we needed a break & sought shade from the intense sun. He also gave us some helpful local/insider tips.

Grace was great! Super knowledgeable, sweet, and thoughtful! The tour took us all around Salem, lots of walking, but she planned drink and restrooms stops along the way. She kept us engaged and interacted with us, asking Hocus Pocus trivia questions along the way. She brought he spray mist bottle to relieve us from the heat and offered a spray if we got a quesrion correct...super cute! This tour was great for kids and adults alike...Had lots of fun on this nostalgic tour!!

This tour exceeded my expectations and couldn’t recommend it more! It is prefect for Hocus Pocus lovers, walking around and exploring and also learning about Salem’s rich history. You get to see the iconic Hocus Pocus locations and take pictures. Our tour guide Michael was awesome! He is friendly, knowledgeable and truly cares about making your experience worthwhile.

Glad we picked this tour out of the many offered in Salem! The guide, Michael, was great and very knowledgeable. He was very courteous and respectful not only to us, but especially to the town residents. He took family snapshots and even provided candy along the way! Thanks for a great few hours touring Salem!
