A professional English speaking tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the killing fields of Choeung Ek Genocide Center – 9 miles away south of Phnom Penh. The infamous killing fields have a bloody history. Once an orchard and a Chinese cemetery, the Khmer Rouge, lead by Pol Pot, turned the place into what became known as the killing fields, where they executed around 20.000 victim. Over three years they massacred and buried 2.5 million people. After remembering the dead, return to Phnom Penh to visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21). Meaning hill of the poisonous trees, Pol Pot turned a once popular high school into a high security prison. 20,000 people were imprisoned there, many of whom were tortured for information. Today it serves as a museum and a reminder of darker days. Your guide will return you to your hotel or guesthouse.you could ask any question to tour guide. We pick up only the hotel center.

If the traveler’s hotel is outside our picking area, we will request the traveler to make their own way by taking tuk tuk grab to the meeting point . 2) the meeting point is Grand River Sports Bar or you can type River Crown Restaurant as these two places are at the same building 3) If traveler can not put your hotel name in your ticket, traveler can send us the message to show us your hotel’s name if it is in our picking up area or not , or you are required to come to the meeting point and arrive by 7:45am for the morning tour and 12:45pm for the afternoon tour 4) WhatsApp contact is so much important for us ; hence before you book, please kindly make sure that you can provide us your using WhatsApp contact or your current Cambodia number 5) Credit card is not accepted at the killing field and genocide museum, traveler has to prepare cash 6) dress code is mandatory- covering shoulders and knees ( not too short and not too long)

We had an excellent experience today with this tour. Pick up from the hotel was timely and so helpful and the driving was excellent. The tour guide, Reaksa Sem, was really wonderful; knowledgeable, excellent English, sensitive and kind to all. I highly recommend. We thought the Genocide Museum was better value than the visit to the killing fields, but it was really good overall.
Very interesting tour. The bus was prompt, came with drinks, and the guide Sum Cheath was very friendly and knowledgeable. Costs were clearly explained and no hard selling of anything.
Guide was appropriately communicative prior to excursion. Pickup at my hotel (Mr Vuthy) was timely and efficient. Guide (Baboon) was knowledgeable and conversant. Very pleased with this tour. It’s a very dark situation and you need a guide to put things in the proper perspective. I would highly recommend this excursion.

While this is an incredibly emotional, heartbreaking, and confronting tour, it provides a much deeper understanding of Cambodia's history and the resilience of the Cambodian people. Our guide, Sem Reaksa, was exceptional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and deeply respectful throughout the tour. Hearing the history explained by Sem Reaksa added a level of authenticity that an audio tour simply could not provide. The transportation was comfortable, with plenty of water provided. There was ample time at both the Killing Fields and the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum to reflect without ever feeling rushed. Sem Reaksa led the tour with dignity and care, making it a truly unforgettable experience. We left with a much deeper appreciation for Cambodia, its people, and their incredible strength. Wow, what a day!! We were picked up at our hotel promptly in an air conditioned mini-van. Reaksa Sem was our guide and he was very well informed and knowledgeable on the history and events of the Killing Fields and Genocide Museum. It was a very confronting and sad day to witness the remnants of the atrocities committed by the Khmer Rouge. But in saying that, educating people on this genocide is imperative in making sure that such madness is never permitted again. Reaksa Sem gave us a thorough, informative tour and allowed us plenty of time to reflect at each location. We appreciate your work and can’t imagine how hard it must be to tell the stories day after day. Take the tour. It’s not easy and can be upsetting and confronting. But ignorance of what happened in Cambodia won’t help anyone or anything. RIP to all the millions who lost their lives
Pick up is on time and easy. 16 people in our group. Not far to drive. A good amount of information and history and context provided. Water given as even morning tour was warm. Back by 1pm
I highly recommend this tour. Sum CHEATH was a very well informed tour guide. He shared his knowledge and experience with thoroughness and sensitivity.
