Itinerary

15 min

Meetingpoint for the tour, (we do not enter the Museum) Our tour starts and ends at the Mauritshuis, an important historic landmark built for count Johan Maurits. It marks the Dutch Golden Century and its museum halls can be visited after the tour to see both the latest exhibitions and classical pieces from Rembrandt and Vermeer.

15 min

Discover the difference between Hagenaars en Hagenezen, often referenced by The Hague's key figure 'Haagse Harry' in its eponymous comic books. We will stop for a photo at the iconic statue of this local hero.

15 min

Tread in the footsteps of royalty before the majestic Royal Palace Noordeinde, where the Dutch royal family resides. If you are lucky, you may see them waving at the crowds from their balcony.

Pass by

Step into the beautiful gardens of the Royal Palace, where locals come together for a stroll or a picnic.

15 min

Walk through the courtyard of the Binnenhof, where the Dutch government holds parliament. Learn about its ambiguous origin, how it held up through the centuries and see the members of parliament ride their bicycle to the office. The Ridderzaal is accessible with a guided tour, which can be done after the tour.

10 min

Built in the late Middle Ages, this towering church can be seen from almost anywhere in the city centre and is an architectural delight.

50 min

Explore the city centre on foot and access places where tour buses and boats can't reach. Our knowledgeable guides are passionate storytellers, who know the ins and outs of the city and will tell you how to experience it like a true 'Hagenees'.

Wonderful introduction to The Hague

Spent a wonderful morning with our tour guide, Oscar, learning the history of The Hague. It’s our 4th tour of this trip and we all agreed that Oscar was the best guide. He answered questions, told great stories snd offered suggestions for other places to visit.

A must to get your bearings and explore

Ronaldo is incredible, his way of being so fun but without leaving professionalism aside goes beyond words, a must to get the details of the city. I loved it, I did it in The Hague and I would do it in every city where this tour was offered. Thank you

We enjoyed this tour. It was a great way to get to know the city. I recommend this tour. It was a free tour, so it was up to you to decide how much to tip. Our group was a little bit big, but our tour guide did a good job making sure we could all hear him.

Great overview of The Hague!

Our guide Taco was wonderful. He was informative and engaging, and he threw in a little humor along the way. The pace of the tour was good — mix of walking and standing. It had just the right amount of stops. I recommend this tour without hesitation.
