Best Western, the worst service in North America

the worst service in North America Even the complaint I made did not get any follow-up from the hotel and no follow-up from the Best Western chain either Anyway, they want your money, but then they're totally messing with you.

A Magical Family Adventure in Sa Pa

Our family trip to Sa Pa was an unforgettable experience! Amazingly well organized by Harry from the start to the finish!!! We explored vibrant villages, learned about local tribes and enjoyed breathtaking treks. The warm hospitality, charming accommodation with panoramic views, and delicious local cuisine made the trip even more special. Sa Pa is the perfect destination for a family adventure - beautiful, enriching, and truly magical. We can’t wait to return!

We had few days in Sapa town trip, it was really relaxing days. We got to visit Cat Cat village for the first time and making the hanmade was so much fun, the waterfall and rice terraces were amazing, I took a lot of beautiful photos. Local food is very good. The service of this tour is very good, recommend everyone to choose this tour when coming to Sapa.

Great experience

It’s worth 2 days 1 night to get away from the busy city, go up to the North to a beautiful place like Sapa. The sleeper bus took us about 6 hours from Hanoi to the destination. We stayed in a nice hotel with comfortable room and fully furnished. Our tour guide was Tom, he speaks good English and has a great sense of humor. The hightlight of the first day was Cat Cat village (must visit if you come to Sapa). The view’s breathtaking, everything’s so close to nature and made me feel relaxing and tranquil. At lunch, we had some delicious local food and vegetables. On the second day, we had to walk a quite long way to another village. The road was winding and treacherous so I think it’s not suitable if you go with children. However, it’s worthy. In here, we could know more about the life of H’mong and Red Dzao communities through seeing them working and behaving. Moreover, they sell lots of Vietnamese brocade things such as bags, scarf, purses, etc. There were some children follow and ask you to buy and help them so remember to have some candies with you to give them cause you can not buy things for all kids there but they keep following you. Anyways, it’s such a great opportunity to explore the culture of local minority people. Overall, the tour was amazing and well-organized. Many thanks to Tom and the company as well. Highly recommend!

Not what was advertised.

This is not a private tour by any stretch of the imagination. The description of the tour contained no mention of a sleeper bus or that we would need to get our own way to the pick up point. I booked our hotel in the specified area for the hotel pick up and found out days before our tour that we would need to take a 20 minute taxi ride to the pick up location. A taxi fare refund was offered. It turns out that there was no hotel pick up for anybody. False and misleading advertising. In the information that was available to me there was no mention of a sleeper bus. I would never have put my family through this experience. It’s not a good way to travel at all. In fact the angle that you have to stay in is prime position for travel sickness and a dangerous position to be travelling in too. There is no way of putting your seat in an upright position and if you’re taller than 160cm forget it. The seats combined with the Vietnamese driving style ( very dangerous overtaking) made for an unpleasant 5 hour drive- each way. The tour was not private at all. It starts on the sleeper bus that sleeps 50 and you’ll be on the trek with at least 10 people in total. This would all be fine if it were advertised in the first instance. Accomodation was OK and the “tour” ran smoothly just not what was advertised.

Scenic Sa Pa

The highlight was trekking on Day 2 with 3 Black H'Mong girls. They gave us so much information on their way of life, even though their English was limited. We went in January, so the terraces were not really green but still amazing. Be forewarned, though, that the trek is through villages and cultivated land, not wilderness. There are a lot of hikers and hordes of H'Mongs trying to sell their wares. Cat Cat was hokey--it's like a heritage village for honeymooners. Couples taking selfies everywhere! The sleeper buses are a real experience: fun if you're 5'4" or under.

One of the best

Although day two hike was a bit dangerous (I would not recommend for children), this was one of the best tours I’ve had. The places we went to and the views were just scintillating. The staff of the tour was extremely helpful. The trip from Hanoi to sapa, although 6 hours, was quite comfortable. Rooms were spacious and the food was decent. But what stole the show was sapa itself and it’s beauty and the hike was definitely one I would never forget. If you’re looking for some adventure this is definitely the one for you.
