Itinerary
Your small-group shore excursion begins with convenient pickup at the Mykonos Port gate. You’ll be greeted by a friendly local driver-guide and board a modern, air-conditioned minibus (max. 18 passengers) for the first part of your journey — a panoramic drive showcasing the island’s natural beauty. (Please red the disclaimer, the tour may begin with either the walking or panoramic driving portion depending on traffic, port conditions, weather, or local events)
Enjoy a scenic drive toward Armenistis Lighthouse, perched on the northern tip of Mykonos. Along the way, your guide will make brief photo stops to let you soak in the stunning views and capture the Aegean landscape. At the lighthouse, take in panoramic views of Delos, Rhenia, and Tinos — a perfect photo opportunity.
Nestled inland, Ano Mera is a charming Cycladic village offering a peaceful contrast to the island’s lively beaches. With traditional architecture, a local monastery, and quaint tavernas, it's one of the few places where you can still experience the authentic spirit of old Mykonos.
Stop for a moment at Kalafati Beach — a more tranquil alternative to Mykonos’ popular shorelines. With crystal-clear turquoise waters and peaceful surroundings, it’s a great spot to snap photos or enjoy a quiet breath of sea air.
The second part of your tour begins as you arrive in Mykonos Town, where a dedicated professional guide will join you for a relaxed walking tour through the town’s whitewashed streets and iconic landmarks. Stroll through the streets of Mykonos Town, where traditional cube-shaped houses, colorful doors, and blooming bougainvillea create a postcard-perfect setting. As you explore on foot, you'll experience the charm of this former Cycladic fishing village, still echoing its rich history and timeless beauty. Please note that Mykonos Town is accessible only on foot. We kindly ask all participants to carefully assess their physical ability to complete the tour before making a reservation.
These iconic 16th-century windmills, perched near the sea, are one of Mykonos’ most famous sights. Built by the Venetians, they were once vital to the island’s grain production and trade. PLEASE NOTE: This stop is optional and may be skipped due to mobility concerns or heavy foot traffic.
Stroll through Little Venice, a waterfront district lined with colorful 18th-century houses, now home to lively cafés and shops. This postcard-perfect area offers beautiful views of the sea and nearby windmills — ideal for photos and a touch of island charm.
Admire one of Greece’s most photographed churches, famous for its asymmetrical whitewashed design and blend of Cycladic and Byzantine architecture. Located near the entrance to the old town, it’s a must-see landmark rich in history and visual appeal.

Lots of walking but it was a beautiful place to visit. Guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot.
George exceeded our expectations. The excursion was 1000% fabulous. He is so knowledgeable ,is a native, and incredibly professional hands down top 10!
Marina was a wonderful guide on the Walking Part of the tour. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and flexible. Took us to a great bakery, the windmills, Little Venice and downtown Mykonos. The Driver (name??) was very friendly, knowledgeable, and a great driver. Drove us the course of the island, stopping at the Lighthouse and one of the Beaches. He got us back to the ship on time, which was great.
Dear Paul thank you very much for your feedback, Paul. We’re really glad to hear you had a great experience. We did notice the 4-star rating, and we’d truly appreciate it if you could share what we could have done to make this a 5-star experience. We’re always happy to hear feedback, as it helps us continue improving our tours and guest experience.
The guide for the driving portion did a fair job of pointing out & giving information as we went. The walking portion was poor. No slowing down for pictures or information. We stood around for 1/2 hour at the windmills for some reason. The only thing I learned in town was where an ancient bakery we were expected to purchase from was located.
Dear Shelley, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback—we really appreciate hearing about your experience. We’re glad to hear that the driving portion of the tour met your expectations and that the guide was able to provide helpful information along the way. At the same time, we’re truly sorry that the walking portion didn’t feel as engaging or well-paced as you had hoped. Your comments about the lack of time for photos and limited information in town are important to us, and we completely understand how that could impact your overall experience. We’d also like to clarify that our tours follow a carefully designed and consistent itinerary, with set stops and timing to ensure a balanced experience for all guests. This includes time at key landmarks such as the windmills, where guests are given an opportunity to explore, take photos, and enjoy the surroundings at their own pace. That said, your feedback highlights that this balance may not have come across as intended, and we will be sure to share your comments with our local partner to help improve the experience going forward. Additionally, we have reached out to you privately to better understand the situation and see how we can make things right. Thank you again for your honest review—it truly helps us improve. Kind regards, Zuzanna Vexperio
With a recent injury Nikos was able to accommodate my limitations during the trip and arranged to return me before the walking portion to the ship. His flexibility and kindness were so greatly appreciated.
This was the perfect experience for us. Easy pick up and drop off. They made sure to include all the highlights of Mykonos. Really nice and knowledgeable tour guides - both for the driving and walking part. Perfect for cruise people. Easy communication with the operator. Vexperio/Viator did a really good job with this tour. Thank you!!
Mykonos was not quite our favorite island, a bit too overhyped and overrun, but this tour was great nevertheless. Both tour guides were lovely, pick up and drop off timely and just as described. Super easy to find the and best of all was the tour group’s small size - all other island tours seem to run in crowds of 40-50 people. Highly recommend!
This was a fantastic tour. We enjoyed both the driving and walking part. Tour guides were delightful, and helped us make the best of our time there. So much better touring in a small group!! We will surely be back to explore more of the Greek Islands.
As cruise travellers we had limited time, however we wanted to have a glimpse of Mykonos. This excursion was well-organised and it was a great refresher time, away from the ship. We were glad about our timely return to the cruise ship.
Dear Kayla, Thank you for your kind review! Timing is always our top priority, so we’re glad everything fit smoothly with your cruise schedule. We hope that your glimpse of Mykonos was just enough to leave you wishing for a longer visit—you’re always welcome back for another adventure! Warm regards, Natalia Vexperio
We were really impressed with how much of Mykonos this tour managed to cover in such a short time. The guides also kept us engaged with stories about the island’s history and traditions. Wandering through Little Venice, the windmills, and the quieter alleys was a real highlight. Overall, the tour went above and beyond what we expected.
Dear Guest, Thank you very much for sharing your feedback with us. We are truly happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour and that it exceeded your expectations. Your kind words are greatly appreciated and will be shared with our guides. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again on another experience in the future. Best regards, Natalia Vexperio
