The Art & Spirit of Authentic Japanese Archery (Kyudo) Experience

Description
--- A Privilege Denied to Most --- In the traditional world of Kyudo, beginners typically spend months practicing basic forms before ever being allowed to touch a target. This exclusive program breaks that barrier, granting you immediate access to the art under the guidance of a DAN-ranked master. --- The Authentic Path --- Experience Kyudo exactly as the locals do. You will train in a genuine, official dojo (archery hall) and shoot at a full 28-meter competition range. This is not a commercialized tourist attraction; it is an immersive journey into a living tradition alongside regular Japanese practitioners. --- The Art of the Bow --- Your journey begins with the transformation into a Kyudo practitioner. You will don the traditional professional uniform (Hakama), a moment that instantly refines your posture and sharpens your focus. Once dressed, you will be matched with a traditional bow and arrows tailored specifically to your physique.

If you're at all interested this was a great learning experience with a patient teacher and camaraderie with the other participants. Awesome for couples!
Good experience! Would honestly go back and do this more often
The meeting place was super easy to find. Archery itself I can only recommend to anyone. The teacher was mega friendly and put a lot of effort into it! Would book the course again at any time!!!
It’s a fulfilling and fun experience with a master of the craft. I will probably do it again and try more experiences like it
This is a great experience where you learn the basics of Japanese archery in a great environment. The guide is great and the location was excellent. It’s not common to get to shoot on day one. It takes months of practice in a normal dojo, so the advantage was enormous. If you are new to Kyudo you can not get a better chance to learn about Japan’s most practiced martial art.
This place is a scam. The meeting point is very inaccurate not even in the same part of Toyko. They did not send the meeting point until 4 hrs before which left no time to plan it with other plans for my trip. When I messaged them that I was coming they gave only 5 mins extra waiting before cutting all contact and still took my money. This might seem like a fun and exciting thing to add to your trip in Toyko however it isn't. There are plenty more Archery in toyko they doesn't play these games.
I like archery so trying Japanese archery - Kyudo - was my bucket list item. For me, this was one of the best things I’ve done in Japan. It really was cool to learn about Japanese style of archery stance which is distinctively different from other Asian archery I’ve tried in the past. Once we learned the basics our group just had a lot of fun shooting. Kyudo is something I actually would like to learn if I have an opportunity. I would definitely sign up for another Kyudo next time I’m in Japan.
The instructor was amazing! He was an excellent teacher, taking the time to show us proper form and technique. Furthermore, he kept it fun with lighthearted commentary. Highly recommended.
It was a great experience. The teacher showed us how to wear the suit, accessories and the techniques
One of the best, unique, and coolest experiences I've ever done in Japan. I always wanted to do this during my previous trips but only found it now here on Viator. Great way to experience Japanese culture Highly recommended for anyone visiting Japan! Great for solo, family, or groups.
