I cannot recommend this tour with Lien enough! She was so kind, moved us around with ease, and shared interesting information about the people and food of Vietnam. Most importantly, her well-planned evening together accommodated my husbands gluten free dietary restrictions safely. We highly recommend this tour with Lien.
Loan, our guide, is so knowledgeable and considerate. My friend has many food allergies and Loan is so accommodating to work around her needs yet able to intoduce us to a variety of scrumptious local foods. I love the double fried spring rolls, fresh local beer, and BBQ pork banh mi. Loan knows her way around so well and is friends with the owners of these favored diners and street food vendors. We have had a lovely time, and highly recommend Loan as a local Hanoi guide!
Ruby was a fabulous guide for our family of six (2 adults, 1 teen and 3 young adults). We chose a private evening walking food tour and saw many sights, heard background stories and tasted an amazing array of Hanoi food. We were so lucky to have found Lien. Her knowledge of the area, the history, and the food was expert level. We appreciated the communication with her before our scheduled time to make sure she understood if we had any allergies or food preferences so she could customize our experience. Her choices of street food introduced us to so many foods we wouldn’t have tried on our own. She was also so kind and easy to talk with.
Thank you Lien for this great tour. We are both more than thrilled, Lien took a lot of time, explained everything great and gave lots of tips. We would never have tested the small restaurants and street stalls otherwise. There are 10 dishes and you should definitely bring a big hunger. The price for the tour is more than justified!!! A great conclusion was a coffee shop in an old villa which showed us at the table exactly how an egg coffee is prepared and the origin was also explained. We had a great day with Lien, she loves what she does.
Our Food tour with Anne was amazing, finding authentic Hanoi foods in unexpected places that we definitely wouldn’t have found on our own. She was great at explaining the street food culture and how to do it right! Anne is very sociable and great to spend time with.I would definitely recommend her - she is an excellent with-locals guide!
