The wonderful food tour started in the rain, which is why the guide provided rain jackets for guests without umbrellas. Various stalls were visited, allowing for a broad coverage of Chinese cuisine (fish, meat, dim sum, noodles, desserts). Personal preferences (for example, there was a vegetarian in the group) were addressed easily. The guide selected the stalls based on good criteria (including duration of operation, use by locals, authenticity). After the tour, further recommendations were given (bars, etc.). Everyone felt comfortable and had a great time.
From the booking, WhatsApp communications and the whole experience was fantastic. We were taken on a journey of seeing the sights, smells and tastes of the best on offer. I have to be honest some of the food places I would never have chosen as off the beaten track but we are glad we were invited to taste the sensations of the street food markets. Zarut was informative, funny, and engaging and nothing was too much. He would always offer us different things to try, from noodles, to pork, to ice cream. The follow up was great to with advice for our onward journey to Samui.
Outstanding food tour and cultural immersion opportunity. Zee took us on a fascinating walk-about of China Town where we tried delicious examples of the best street food Bangkok has to offer. I will definitely recommend this tour to anyone with a taste for adventure.
Our family of five took a food tour with Zarut. This was right after our arrival in Bangkok. Everything was new and exciting for the children. But Zarut, with his pleasant, friendly, and humorous manner, made us all feel very comfortable. We experienced and saw so much. And thanks to his extensive experience, we naturally only went to the best places. Everything was absolutely delicious. Zaraut also catered to our wishes and made sure we all had a great time. A fantastic tour with a superb guide. Thank you, Zarut!
The Michelin food tour with Zarut was awesome for our family of 4. We arrived in Thailand early that morning so we were tired, but excited to see all the excitement that Chinatown had to offer. The food stalls were exactly what we were looking for--authentic Thai food with the security of knowing it was fresh and delicious. Zarut was a terrific guide, giving us helpful tips and answering all the questions our young children had for him. Highly recommend Zarut and this Michelin food tour!
Zee was wonderful, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. My friend and I are in from Chicago and we were recommended Zee for his food tour. Each place he brought us to had significance to him and wonderful flavor. We got to enjoy many different kinds of food/deserts. Zee was funny and kept the energy up even when our stomachs were full. We had a wonderful time. Thank you Zee!
Quite a surreal and authentic experience in Bangkoks lesser known modern neighbourhood. The tour was filled with historical insights, Michelin recommended restaurants and a hearty vibe handled brilliantly by Zarut, our tour guide. One of the evenings that you must experience for yourself, though I do warn you, you will be quite full by the end of the tour. I advise fasting before attending to have enough space to eat all the listed courses.
We had Araya as our guide. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and history. It was a fantastic foodie tour and we tasted and learned a lot. We highly recommend Araya as a local guide. Below is a overview of everything we ate. Food List 1. Roasted Duck 2. Stired Fried Basil Leave, Garlic and Chili with minced Pork (Pad Ka Praow Mou, in Thai) 3. Rice Soup or Congee with Pork Ball 4. Mangosteen (Fruit) 5. Curry Noddle with Chicken Drum Stick 6. Mango Sticky Rice
Moddy was an amazing guide! She is so friendly and upbeat. We were with her for the nighttime street food market tour our first night in Bangkok. I have a gluten allergy and she was so helpful in making sure I could eat safely. My daughter and husband are total foodies and Moddy was fantastic at making sure they tried so many authentic Thai foods. She also gave us lots of tips for navigating the city the rest of our visit. (The underground trains are super easy!) I highly recommend tours with Moddy!
Nok was a brilliant guide. Our family loved the tour and learnt a lot about Thai food and ingredients.
