Our tour of Terezín Concentration Camp was incredibly moving, informative, and well organized. Our tour guide, Jiri, was absolutely excellent. He was not only extremely knowledgeable about Terezín itself, but also about the Holocaust as a whole, which added so much depth and context to the experience. You could truly feel his passion for preserving the history of the camps and ensuring that the stories of the many people affected are never forgotten. He did an amazing job sharing these stories with respect, compassion, and detail, making the experience both educational and deeply meaningful. We learned so much throughout the tour, and it was clear how dedicated Jiri is to keeping this important history alive for future generations. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Czech Republic who wants a thoughtful, impactful, and educational experience.
Jiří was a phenomenal guide and I would highly recommend him. He is extremely passionate and knowledgeable and presents information in a clear and digestible way. I can’t wait to take another tour with him in the future!
Thank you for an excellent tour, Jiri. You do a very good job of helping people bear witness to the horrors of history. Everyone should be required to walk through Terezin and hear and see.
I booked this trip weeks in advance. Good morning of the trip I had received no notification that the trip was canceled. I took the red Metro line all the way up north of the city where we were supposed to meet. There was no red van waiting for me at the bus stop. I messaged the company and they said that they had been trying to get a hold of me and had to cancel the trip due to “weather.” I ended up having to take an Uber to get to Terezin, and I took the tour myself. The weather was fine and there were plenty of other tour groups visiting the historical site. BEWARE. I FEEL LIKE THEY CANCELED IT BECAUSE THEY WEREN’T ENOUGH PEOPLE ON THE TOUR.
The tour was canceled due to force majeure weather conditions (winter storm, ice, and fog) that affected road safety. We notified you by text the evening before and issued a full refund, also offering an alternative date. Please note that solo travelers are always welcome. Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for independent travel arrangements made after a force majeure cancellation. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.
We couldn't wish for a better guide than historian Jiri Kluc. Very informative and unique tour that unfolds even parts of Terezin that are very important but hidden. He answered all our questions and we learned a lot! BEST TOUR GUIDE we had in the Czech Republic. Jiri Kluc is author of numerous books on WWII/Holocaust history and we even had a chance to buy his book on a tour.
This passionate guide Jiri Kluc patiently answered all our questions, and his knowledge is truly vast. He enriched his explanations with various stories. He was very warm, approachable, and genuinely passionate about his work. When we return to Prague someday, we will be happy to use his services again. Jiri, thank you very much for the excellent work — we can highly recommend you,it was amazing.
Our journey through the former Eastern Bloc ended in Prague, after visiting Jewish and Holocaust sites in Poland and the Czech Republic. Throughout the trip, we were searching for knowledgeable guides who could offer a meaningful and authentic experience. For Terezín, we wanted someone truly special. Unfortunately, choosing Mr. Kluc turned out to be a serious mistake. The Jewish story of the town was presented even more briefly than the story of the prison itself. It felt as though the guide had forgotten that the Holocaust is fundamentally a Jewish story, and what was presented was delivered in a very superficial and unsatisfactory way. In Poland, we experienced a chain of disappointments at most Jewish sites. The Prague Jewish Quarter was the exception—without it, our trip would have been a complete fiasco.
Jiri was an absolute pleasure as our guide and local historian. His knowledge and expertise made our first trip to a concentration camp an unforgettable experience. Would highly recommend this tour with Jiri.
A truly exceptional tour. Such a warm, thoughtful, patient and knowledgeable guide who showed us around with insightful accounts from war witnesses that he has interviewed. His passion for this dark period of history shines through. This was a remarkably memorable trip. Highly recommended.
This was the third tour I did with Jiri. He was a fantastic guide - friendly, passionate, and well researched. Jiri took us around the camp and painted a picture of every experience in the camp. After touring the small fortress, he took us around to some forgotten spots in the larger town and showed us incredible historic areas. I would highly recommend touring Terezin with Jiri!
