Discover the secrets of past cultures among imposing pyramids, avoid crowds by being one of the first to reach this majestic archeological site. Starting in a private vehicle from your accommodation, we will leave Mexico City early to avoid city traffic and crowds at the pyramids. Our route around the site will include an in-depth examination of the three most significant Teotihuacan structures: the pyramids of Luna, Sun and Feathered Serpent. Our expert certified guide will delve into the stories, traditions and sacred rights that date back to the classical Mesoamerican era. We will have the option of climbing the steep steps of a pyramid, where our guide can point out the geographical influence of Teotihuacan in the neighboring regions. Our path will also lead us to several important compounds with murals before the Mayans and Aztecs, and we will learn about these palace designs and the artistic style that permeated not only the ancient Teotihuacan society but many Mesoamerican civilizations for millennia. In the end we will have a tasting of traditional drinks such as pulque, tequila and mezcal.

Excellent Tour!!!

Aldo and our driver arrived at 8 AM in a very comfortable minivan and took us to Teotihuacan. He started explaining interesting facts about the areas we drove through in Mexico City, all the way up to our initial destination, and once we were there, he continued sharing the most interesting, clear, and fascinating details about the culture, the people, the rituals, and the structures that we were visiting. His English is excellent and he makes it incredibly interesting. He asked us what we wanted and didn’t want and curated the tour accordingly. He is also an excellent photographer and took pictures of my family throughout the tour. We really loved the tour and would recommend him wholeheartedly.

Great day at the pyramids!

We really enjoyed our time at Teotihuacan with Iván. This is a very special place, and he knew many interesting details that we never would have learned without him. Everything went smoothly, and he did a great job of communicating with us ahead of time, as well as accommodating us with a toddler. Thanks, Iván! The mezcal/pulque tasting was a fun treat at the end of the day.

Great Tour + Guide

Our tour guide, Fermin, was excellent and very knowledgeable. He is an archaeologist, so he had firsthand knowledge. He also spoke English along with Spanish and was quite conversational/welcoming. We had a great experience. The pyramids are truly impressive and offer numerous excellent photo opportunities. He also took us into a neighborhood where the people used to live, so we got to see an angle of the people's lives from hundreds of years ago that the pyramids did not provide. After this, he recommended a place for lunch and waited for us to eat. He also gave us several recommendations for dinner, and the tour included both drop-off and pick-up. Including drive time, the tour ended up being about five hours. It is absolutely worthwhile if you are interested—I highly recommend it. Tips: Do not bring too much; a water bottle and some money are really all you need. Our tour guide did allow us to leave our belongings in his car. The restaurant at which we stopped for lunch took credit cards, and there is also a gift shop—as well as a snack stand—at the entrance/exit to the pyramids, but I am not sure if they take credit cards.

Noe was a great and...

Noe was a great and knowledgeable guide. It was a great experience exploring and learning about Teotihuacan. The only thing I would caution is the tasting place you go to at the end with the market is much more expensive than the vendors at the site so if you want to buy souvenirs the ones selling at teotihuacan itself are cheaper and different. Also the place you go after is the only restaurant option and again expensive and minimal vegetarian options so would recommend keeping track of time to come back to have lunch in the city

Use YouTours CDMX for your México City Tours!

If you’re thinking about booking a tour company, stop looking, just go with these guys. We landed at 11pm after a long day of travel, mentioned that we were craving tacos and beer (as you do), and somehow by 11:40pm we were sitting in an authentic local taco spot with cold beers in hand. I still don’t know how Hugo and Paco pulled that off, but it set the tone for the entire trip. They organised an incredible tour of the Teotihuacan pyramids. Seamless and packed with interesting history thanks to our guide Aldo, who was not only knowledgeable but genuinely fun to be around. It felt like hanging out with a very informed friend rather than being on a tour. And then… the cooler. Absolute game changer. Aldo and Paco had beers and mezcal ready for us during the trip. Apparently, Youtours CDMX understands priorities! They even found us a local restaurant to watch Canada take on Morocco in the World Cup. Fantastic food, great atmosphere, and somehow exactly what we were hoping for without us having to lift a finger. Big shoutout to Ivan as well—his WhatsApp communication was next level. Quick responses, great recommendations for restaurants and bars, and very helpful throughout. It felt like having a local insider in your pocket the whole time! All in all, the lads made the trip effortless, memorable, and more fun than we expected. Couldn’t recommend them more—10/10, would absolutely book again (and probably will).
