Nice Introduction to Barcelona

We planned the street food tour at 5 PM to help us stay awake on our arrival day in Barcelona and it did just that. We had Sofia as our tour guide and she did an exceptional job with our small group. We spent time in La Boqueria market and several shops around the area. I won’t spoil the menu. Sofia shared info on all the interesting spots we passed through such as the Gothic section and aligned the food tasting as if she were a chef. There is reasonable walking and the tasty treats are worth. There was enough food that my family called it a night.

History and food

Amazing guide Vincenzo knowledge of history and food was a great blend. Variety of foods great with a truly local flavour. Would certainly recommend. We went back the next day to the market for more paella!

Surprisingly it wasn’t only about the food.

Future travelers will be in for treat of local foods that are only are found in this region of Spain. Sophia, our guide expert, was a local to this region who knew the history of all the foods we tasted. She was very personable, funny, and professional. Best tour we have been on. bar none.

Good overview of the food markets

Got to taste several things, obviously. Would have preferred to have left out the history stops, as we did these with other tours. Wanted food only. Josie was a good & enthusiastic guide.

The locations were great....

The locations were great. Delicious and sufficient food. The tour guide was not very motivated; we had better and more interesting food tours in other cities. However, the food spots were really good and authentic. Especially the market and the tapas were very tasty to us.

Not worth it! Must be better food tours in Barcelona.

Been on many food tours and loved them but this was a waste of money. Learned more about the food culture on the free city tour than on this food tour. Only 5 in our group and she walked very quickly and spoke softly. Didn’t walk slow enough for one person using a walker. Only ate a few samples/all very similar and no discussion of the Spanish dining and food culture. Sophia is from Brazil so she has no background on this topic. Should not be doing this tour.

Yummy & informative tour - we loved it!

This walking food tour was delicious & informative. Our tour guide knew just where to take us but still modified our small group tour enough that we each got to go where we wanted. The food selection was perfect & the buying tips & suggestions were spot on. We had a fabulous time.

Sofia was an exceptional guide. Very knowledgeable with lots of historical facts and we saw many sights but she also pointed out many things we would have missed! Loved the variety of food and the fact we could shop as we went. Excellent tour and lovely guide.

Two and a half hours of deliciousness

We stopped at five different spots throughout the gothic area in the main market and through a few side streets including olives, paella, chocolate, patisserie, and smoked ham.Vincent gave us history about the food and the city along the walk and the entire tour took about two and a half hours
