Taste of Marbella Food & Market Small Group Tour

Description
Take a break from the beach, and let your palette guide you! Explore the Municipal Market of Marbella, by the hand of our "local expert" and discover the rich culinary heritage of Andalusia. You’ll enjoy 4 very different establishments where you will taste 9 to 10 Authentic Spanish tapas paired with 3 drinks of your choice. These are some of the things that you will be experiencing: -Taste the mouth-watering "bocata" that famous Michellin starred chef Dany Garcia comes to the market for. -Pick "catch of the day" from Paco, a fishmonger and self-made culinary artist, who will cook it with the pizzaz of a cordon bleu chef. -Savor some Malaga produce that will never make it to the supermarkets just because they don't travel well, but taste exquisite! In this tour, you will sample delicious tapas, sip on local wines and meet the entrepreneurs who have created culinary businesses, full of creativity, so local markets can still be the hearts of Spanish culture.

Nice, but it's not special, maybe the time of year didn't make it interesting. It is a typical very exclusive spa with many golf courts, I think perhaps it would be more interesting to visit Malaga (more culture)....anyway, my impression is skewed I went to a conference and didn't have much time to visit either
A more wonderful tour of the old town with competent explanations from Michel. There were only two of us, which made the experience even more beautiful. The tour of the market hall with the tastings of food and drink was the highlight.
Glad to hear you enjoyed exploring the Old Town with Michel; he brings such insight to every stop. And we couldn’t agree more: the market is always a highlight, full of flavor and local character. Vielen Dank und hoffentlich auf ein Wiedersehen in Marbella!
Michel was simply the best. He made each place we visited extra special and he filled up our walk to each food stop with a terrific conversation. We highly recommend Michel for a Marbella food & wine tour.

A friend and I were coming to stay nearby in Mijas, but wanted to do a food tour in the old town in Marbella. Fortunately, my google search brought up Taste Marbella, with Manuel Delgado. Manuel was able to put a personal tour together for just the two of us, which was really kind of him. He was very helpful on the phone, and it was all very simple to book. The tour lasted around 3 hours, and as well as the delicious food, we were given lots of historical information about the old town, which is another reason we like doing these tours, and we weren't disappointed. You miss so much, just wondering around without a guide. I cannot recommend Taste Marbella enough. It was a funny, informative, tasty trip around the old town visiting places that weren't on the usual tourist trail. A great time was had by all and we were certainly full by the end.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! You two were such a joy to hang out with—so much fun and so many laughs along the way! I’m thrilled you enjoyed the tour, the history, and of course, all the delicious food. It was a pleasure showing you the hidden gems of Marbella’s old town and sharing a few stories along the way. I’m so glad you left full and happy—that’s the goal! Come back anytime; the tapas and laughs are always waiting
Mitch is a terrific guide and this was a perfect tour for culture, history, and the delightful food of Spain. Unlike the typical food tour walking from restaurant to restaurant, we spent most of the tastings in the Market hall, learning about the specialties. The pace was leisurely and we never felt rushed. Highly recommend if you are visiting Marbella.
Thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re thrilled to hear that you had such a great time on the tour with Mitch. He’s indeed an amazing guide, and we're glad he made your experience special by diving into the culture, history, and unique flavors of Spain. We love that you appreciated the relaxed pace and the chance to explore the Market Hall – it’s one of our favorite parts too! Thanks again for your recommendation!
What a day! Our tour started with meeting Michel, our fabulous tour guide, in the Plaza de los Naranjos in old town. Not only is he a food connisseur but he is also an amateur (I think amateur?) historian. He started with a brief history of Spain, with a focus on Marbella. Very interesting! From the old town we headed to the Market - for our tastings. Michel was so incredibly passionate about the local and traditional foods that I tried things that I would never have tried on an ordinary day on our own. The market was beautiful - filled with food, colour, people, smells and sounds. Every tasting we had was paired with a local wine. A beautiful day all around.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! I’m so glad to hear you had such an amazing day with Michel. His passion for both food and local history truly shines through, and it’s fantastic that you enjoyed the blend of stories and tastings. We love introducing people to new flavors and the vibrant energy of Marbella’s Market. It’s always a pleasure to hear when guests try something new and have a memorable experience. We’d love to welcome you back for more food, wine, and history next time!
Michele was a great tour guide and we had an extremely great time touring Marbella and the food market. Each of the locations he took us to had amazing food, and we purchased a variety of products we plan to eat while staying in Marbella. Thanks Michele!!!
