We booked our two day Safari experience with Wildlife Experience Tanzania based on their positive reviews, and we were not disappointed!! Davies remained in contact from the start, looking after all the transport and accommodation as well as the itinerary as we flew in from Zanzibar. Our safari guide Steve was amazing, super friendly and very knowledgeable on the diverse wildlife and locations we visited . We were lucky enough to catch sight of the big 5 even on our short trip, and I felt Steve managed to spot and direct us to things we would never have encountered ourselves. Very happy to recommend.
We were very lucky to have Steven as our guide. Everyone in my family adored him. Steve is an expert in birds, but his over 20 years of acquired expertise covers all animals. We found so many animals in a relatively short Safari (6 days). We went to Tarangire National Park, the Serengeti Plain, and Ngorongoro Crater, and in that short trip, we were able to see: 1) a cheetah hiding in the tall grass, 2) a lioness cleaning her three cubs (my daughter’s favorite) & a lioness stalking and killing a warthog (my favorite because it felt like a National Geographic video in real life) and 3) a leopard sitting in a tree after a kill, and 4) several buffalo. All told, we saw four of the five “Big Five” animals! We saw many others but these were the top four on our wish list. In addition, all through the Safari, Steve pointed out birds we had never seen before. The man just might know the name of every single bird in Tanzania! He would stop and show us beautiful birds I'd never seen before in my life. It felt like I was taking a college level class in ornithology. We weren’t bird experts but we definitely became interested in bird watching after taking this safari with Steve. He is an all around excellent guide!
Organised a fly-in tour from Zanzibar to the Tarangire national park and Ngorongoro crater. I was in contact with Davies before coming to Tanzania. Fantastic and open communication, which gave us a trusted and safe feeling. No question was too much. I am extremely satisfied with the safari as we got to see many rare animals in two short days. The choice of lodge (Hhando coffee lodge) was also lovely. Abdallah, our driver/guide, demonstrated a great knowledge and prowess of the safari terrain. Highly, highly recommended. We will be back! Asante sana!!!!
