Tara River Packrafting Adventure

Brilliant pack rafting. We all loved it and glad we chose to do it. Pick up and transfers from Zabljak were spot on. All the kit and raft were new. Mio, out guide, explained everything and made the trip down the river so enjoyable. He was fun and friendly, and explained lots about the canyon and the surroundings. We had a nice lunch at a stop by the river. The ride down the river was a good mix of rapids and relaxing paddles. Would recommend anyone thinking about doing the river. It was great to have the raft to yourself as a chance to the big busy rafting.

What a trip! The Tara River was beautiful and the guides made it even more special. It was the perfect mix of challenge and relaxing along the river. Daniel and Pava made sure we felt comfortable and safe on the river before showing us the fun lines. They are real pros and really know their way around the Tara River. I would recommend it to everyone!

An amazing trip from start to finish and incredible value for money. The group was fantastic, and a huge thank you to our guides, Pava, Mio, and Daniel, for making it such a memorable experience. They were fun, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly, which really helped settle any nerves. They taught us the ropes and made sure we felt confident every step of the way. 10/10 experience! I had never been rafting before but the beginner trip was perfect, a couple of easy days to get the hang of things and then some super fun rapids on the last day! Everything was extremely well organised, transfers to and from the airport were covered and all accom sorted. The team Pava, Mio and Daniel were absolute professionals and kept the vibes high! The trip wouldn’t have been the same without these guys. The camping was great (tents set up for our arrival thanks to Mio, fastest tent set up in all of Montenegro) and the food was divine thanks to Julia. Pava shared with us her infinite knowledge on everything Montenegro over the whole trip, and Danny G the hype man kept the good vibes going! Could not recommend enough

*If you're on the fence about booking this trip, you should just book it* Arguably the best trip of my life. I had never packrafted before and by the last day I was cruising class 3's! The food was delicious and plentiful, the scenery was beautiful, the guides took impeccable care to ensure we were all comfortable, and the adventure was incredible! Mio Pava and Daniel were our guides and you're terribly lucky if you get to travel with them! They kept us safe and smiling. The gear is great- I honestly packed too much. I didn't know the wetsuits would cover your full leg (down to the ankles) so I packed long sun pants. Don't forget a water bottle and carabiner to hold it in your raft. I lost my hat in bosnia, but am planning on returning to find it someday soon. xx

We were a grown up family of four on the 4 day Tara canyon tour. Magical experience. Incredibly beautiful canyon and this tour gets you away from the crowds you will find on the last section of the river. Really experienced and friendly guides. Brilliantly organised by Gigo.

It was a truly wonderful experience, especially if you enjoy a challenge and don’t mind getting tired. The last day is quite tough, but that’s exactly what makes it a real adventure. Daniel, our guide, was incredible, his passion for what he does is contagious, and he made the whole experience even more enjoyable and inspiring.

What an amazing adventure! Two families. 4 teenagers. Absolutely brilliant! So pleased we came. E-biking for the adrenaline junkies on the first day took in Zjablak and the Dumitor Mountains with both "less and more thrilling" descents the whole way down. The teens loved it! The alternative hike option was a walk through pristine Alpine meadows teeming with insect life and rich in wild flower biodiversity to a glacial lake whose colour reflected the sky. Then on to the Tara River for 3 days, 2 nights. The pristine, crystal clear, blue water can only be believed by being there. The rapids are thrilling enough to get the heart pumping if you want it to, but the caring and excellent guides gave gentler options for the risk averse (me!) too. The accommodation with local people means that this company is investing in eco-tourism and giving money back to the Montenegrins. And the generosity of the hosts with the delicious and home-grown food is humbling. If you are wanting a holiday to treasure, go. Go soon!
