Alex was a great guide and I had a fantastic time. We had a lot of great tapas and wine pairings at several stops in the old town. Alex knows a lot about the food, history and culture of the area and is obviously passionate about sharing his love for Santiago and Galicia with visitors. Afterwards, he took us to a local bar to see some live music. It was a great evening. Highly recommended if you’re in town for the night.
Alex is fun and knowledgeable. It's a fun way to see old town and learn of some great old historical places.
We were lucky to get Alex, the guide, all to ourselves last night! Our tour was extremely informative of the foods, wines and even the popular chestnuts that grow in the region. For those that might be tired and don't want to walk all over Santiago del Compostela, I assure you that all of the stops on this tour are close together. This is not just a cheese and meat tasting. The varied foods that we got to sample were all delicious. Highly recommend this tour!
Thank you so much for your nice review! I really appreciate it!

Alex was a great host and even worked on his day off to accommodate us while in Santiago. Very knowledgable about tapas and the city. Would recommend to anyone.
Me and my friends did the food tour after we finished the Camino and my oh my were we so glad the we did it. Right from the start we knew Alex is a professional and he took us to a lot of local places while simultaneously explaining Galician history to us. He’s an expert in this topic so he had a lot to share. He even took us to a live music bar so we could hear Galician music and also recommended us places to go after to meet locals. Absolute legend! TLDR: Just follow Alex, listen to the stories while you eat and drink…..Enjoy! P.S: The mejillones are outstanding!!!!!
The tour was excellent! Alex was magnificent explaining everything to us about gastronomy, history, wines, and recommendations for places. I recommend it!
Alex was a great guide. Showed us some authentic little tapas bars and made useful recommendations for other restaurants. He's very knowledgeable about Santiago and the Camino trail. Highly recommend!
The guide was very pleasant and had a lot of work having to speak in two languages.
