Hands-on experience. The kitchen is well set up. Met people from different parts of the world. Friendly and enjoyable. Chef communicated well and answers questions. Provided recipes. Plenty of wines.
Our week in Madrid was filled with highlights, but for me, this was the best of them all. Exactly as advertised, it was friendly, personal, unrushed, educational and DELICIOUS. All portions, including wine, were generous. I can’t say enough about our chef/teacher, Lola. Knowledgable, warm, funny and professional in every way. Simply put, if you’re looking for a small-group cooking experience, don’t miss this one.
Great prep ahead of time, made it easy to prepare so many things. Thank you. The food and company was great!
Our cooking class was flawlessly planned for a seamless experience between Chef Lola, her assistant Seda and our group members. Lola ensured all 5 of us were engaged as we learned about the Spanish food culture and the dos and don’ts of making paella and 3 other dishes—all while sipping a delightful Spanish wine. We also learned about the different types of olive oil, and how they are used. Chef Lola’s space was a beautiful, sparkling clean private space with no distractions from our cooking experience. She connected the professional and personal aspects of Spanish cuisine. The ingredients were fresh and personalized to accommodate the food preferences and dietary needs within our group. The food was delicious and we can’t wait to try the provided and practiced recipes when we get home! We highly recommend taking a class with Chef Lola!!
We loved it. Highly recommended. Great food, great coaching from our master chef Lola. 10/10, would tapas again
We had a great time thank you so much ! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cooking experience ! 🙏🏻💯
If you’re visiting Madrid, do yourself a favor and book a cooking class with Lola—you won’t regret it. From the moment we arrived, Lola was warm, engaging, and incredibly passionate about Spanish cuisine and culture. She made everyone feel comfortable right away and created such a fun, welcoming atmosphere. What really stood out was how educational the experience was—she walked us through every ingredient, explaining not just what we were using, but why it mattered and how it fit into traditional Spanish cooking. Making paella and tapas under her guidance was both approachable and exciting, and the end result? Absolutely delicious. It was so rewarding to enjoy a meal we helped create, especially one that tasted as authentic and flavorful as it did. This class was easily the highlight of our short visit to Madrid. I can’t recommend Lola’s classes enough—whether you’re a seasoned cook or a total beginner, you’ll walk away with great memories, new skills, and a full, happy stomach.
This was a phenomenal experience! Lola really knows her stuff, she taught us how to make the best meal I've had in Madrid. This was the perfect ending to a great week in Spain. I highly recommend you take this class.
Excellent class, the 4-stroke menu, very complete, easy and practical to make, everything we cooked was delicious, 100 points and the chef very nice and friendly.
What a fantastic experience! Lola was an outstanding teacher — knowledgeable, engaging, and way fun to cook alongside. Our class tackled four classic Spanish dishes: ham croquettes, Russian salad, Ajoarriero cod, and paella with squid ink (black rice), and Lola guided us through each one with the kind of confidence and warmth that makes even first-timers feel like they belong in the kitchen. Half the joy was the company — our little group brought together people from Kentucky, Tennessee, San Francisco, and Holland, and by the time we sat down to eat everything we'd made, it felt like a dinner party with old friends. And after the cooking was done, we lingered over wine with Lola herself, who generously shared her favorite spots around Madrid — the kind of insider recommendations you simply can't find in a guidebook. And yes, we ate everything. Every last bite. Along with ample wine she freely provided. If I'm back in Madrid, I'm signing up again — same recipes and all. That's how good our time together was.
