I had the most amazing night at the tango class and milonga with Nicole and Matías. They were so welcoming, fun, and great instructors. After the class, Nicole took me to a traditional milonga, and I was absolutely in awe watching how incredible the dancers are. It was truly unforgettable. Nicole’s friends were also so sweet and welcoming, which made the experience feel even more special. I left feeling completely inspired and hopeful to continue taking tango classes back in New York. Thank you for such a wonderful night. It was by far the best night I had while in Buenos Aires!
Such a fun evening in Buenos Aires! Martina taught us basic steps of the Tango and took us to a quaint, neighborhood milonga where we had wine, empañadas, listened to a live band and watched couples danced. We ventured on the dance floor as well and had a great time! Martina is welcoming, interesting, talented and kind. We are so grateful to have met her and to have had this experience!
Wonderful experience. Candela is a fantastic instructor! Very patient and explains tango very well. Was so fun to try tango for ourselves after the class. What a great way to experience Argentine culture. Will definitely be back next time we are in Buenos Aires!
What an incredible experience!! This was a surprise for my wife and I did not know what to expect. My wife loved it and Victoria exceeded our expectations! There is nothing like receiving a lesson from a world traveling tango expert like Victoria. She was so kind and patient during our personalized lesson as we muddled through the basic steps of tango and slowly built up our confidence. Going to the milonga was like entering another world, both beautiful to watch and participate in. Victoria knows everyone and got us the best tables where you can see the entire floor and admire the community of dancers. Victoria is also just a gem of a person and we are glad to have met her!
Nicole and Matias are amazing instructors and also wonderful people. My experience was super fun and they were encouraging and patient. I strongly recommend them to anyone as a beginner or to improve their tango!!
I met Nicole and Matias at their apartment in the Almagro neighborhood. Nicole is a native Floridian; Matias is her Argentinian tango and life partner. (He is not fluent in English; she translated for him.) In an open room, over the course of an hour, they introduced me to tango and some tango basics and videoed my final effort, with Matias partnering me. We then went via Uber to El Beso, a Milonga in the center of town. They had a front table reserved, explained the rituals and what was happening, got a bottle of sparkling wine, and once joined the dance themselves. I was there for over two hours and felt as if I got an insider’s glance at tango culture. This is not a tango show. This was where local tango aficionados go to dance. Nicole and Matias knew lots of folks there and introduced me to some of their friends. This tour is as promised, intimate, and I highly recommend for a solo traveler, couple, or group.
Hi Florence! It was a pleasure to meet you and spend the evening with you sharing what tango means to us and so many here in Buenos Aires. We are so happy you had a great time!
This was a highlight to my time in Buenos Aires, and if you’re even a little bit curious about tango, you should book this right away! Highly recommend for any level of dancer - from absolute beginner and more. You’ll be in great hands! Cande was my amazing instructor who literally lead me through the basics with patience and grace. She embodies everything tango and I felt really comfortable and safe with her learning tango technique and making mistakes. She even gave me the confidence to try dancing at my first ever milonga! It was such a special moment and I am so grateful for her kind teaching. Jamila organized the lesson and milonga and together with Cande I learned all the unspoken rules about tango; they’re both such beautiful humans who have so much to share. Tango is a respectful, beautiful art and tango isn’t just a dance, it’s a lifestyle. So very grateful to have been welcomed into the tango world for a truly special night! Can’t recommend enough!
It was a great and very personal experience. The tango class was very individual in a small group. It seems to be an easy way, to have an experince of learning tango, not so static like in europe. The teachers are absolute sympatic! And the melonga with explanation from professional dancers is a great experience.
Nicole and Mateo is brilliant. They gave me instructions on the basics of Tango and took me to this historic Milonga. I had a great time with them and it was the perfect way to spend my last night in Buenos Aires.
The lesson with Mala was so informative! It took me up to a level I felt comfortable actually dancing in public. The Milonga she chose was perfect for atmosphere and my skill level. She has a great grasp of English, to convey all the nuances that dancing demands. As a solo female traveler who is leaning Spanish, this was a great choice.
