If you’re considering a day in Tangier, do it!

This trip was very well-planned and delivered everything the itinerary offered. Our guide, Hassan “Coca-Cola,” was an absolute delight. He’s so knowledgeable, friendly, and effective in guiding us through the city, and it felt like we were really seeing the history and culture of Tangier. I would absolutely recommend this tour because it was so easy to work with them and we had such a great time. Ali, who arranged the trip, communicated about what we wanted to see and do, asked about food allergies, and made the process easy. We were picked up in Cadiz, driven to Tarifa and delivered to the ferry by our driver, and then met by Hassan in Tangier. The ship was comfortable as well. Tangier’s natural beauty was breathtaking, the camel ride was the highlight of the day, and we shopped the market a little too successfully! Hassan offered important advice about navigating the market safely and how and when to haggle for your purchase. We had a wonderful if exhausting day, and can confidently recommend this tour. Hassan either took or arranged for site guides to take family pictures of us at every turn and they all turned out well. He knows his stuff!

Wonderful day in Tangier.

Everything went very smoothly, and it was a beautiful day. We were picked up at 7 AM. And returned home by 7 PM. All arrangements were made for our ferry trip and our guide and driver were waiting for us when we got off. The tour was beautiful and informative. The breakfast and late lunch were amazing.Well worth the money.

Absolutely fantastic day. Memories made for a lifetime. Book this trip.

Today was an incredible experience. Do not think twice, book this trip. Everything was perfectly executed and extremely professional. We booked last minute and couldn’t be happier. From the camels, kasbah, caves, etc, each stop was a delight. And, the food was really REALLY good. Ali, Aissam, thank you! You both were incredible guides. It’s a day I hope to never forget.

Tangier whirlwind tour

My wife was initially hesitant to meet up with our guide, Hassan Coca-Cola. Was this a code name? Was he a legitimate guide? Her fears were put to rest instantly once we met him. He was warm, exuberant, and all too eager to explain why they call him Coca-Cola. Apparently, he used to drink a lot of coke as a child and the nickname stuck. Coca-Cola is a third generation resident of Tangier, has 40 years of experience as a tour guide, and is overall knowledgeable about anything related to Tangier or Morocco for that matter. We were asked beforehand what we wanted to see and do: culture, shopping, and eating. We had a driver with a new van and working a/c. It was a very comfortable ride around the city. We had two meals, breakfast and lunch. Generally, we avoid any restaurants where tourists might go, especially British and American tourists, because the food is almost always awful. While the food wasn’t awful by any stretch of the imagination, it leaned heavily towards a more Western taste palette which was fine for our picky eater and unadventurous child. If it were just the wife and me, we would have insisted that Coca-Cola take us to where the locals eat. We visited all the must-see places and Coca-Cola will take all your pictures for you. The child especially liked the camel ride and, unexpectedly, so did we. Skip the souk and return on your own so you can wander about and bargain properly. When you’re pressed for time, you won’t get the best price. My wife has more experience in this area, having visited Turkey and China where bargaining is both a sport and an art. Per my wife, you need to get to the market when it first opens to get the best deals. Still, it was fun to wander through the maze of streets. We saw a lot in such a little time. Tangier is clean and safe. The architecture is beautiful. Many vendors speak Arabic, English, Spanish, and French. Coca-Cola speaks a few languages as well. We enjoyed ourselves throughly and recommend the tour.

If your in Cadiz then you will not be disappointed if your looking for a day trip.

This was better than we expected. We were travelling with 2 month old and 2 year old and did not want to worry about all the details of getting there and back. They took care of everything. It was a long day but worth it. They adjusted the tour to accommodate the kids schedule but still allowed us to see the major sights. They also exposed us the local cultures and food which is always a must for us. Hassan was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable in everything and understood the challenges of touring with kids.

Wonderful tour with Coca Cola.

A wonderful tour and my guide, nicknamed Coca Cola, showed me the sites, shared the interesting history, and apparently knew about half the residents in the city. I suggest that anyone who books this tour asks for Coca Cola as their guide. The driver was also amazing. I wouldn’t want to have to drive those streets with that traffic.

Your absolutely best choice in Tangier. It just cannot get better than this.

What an absolutely wonderful tour guide Shafiq is! (Hopefully the spelling is somewhat correct.) We had the time of our lives, it was a perfect mix of chilling out and still seeing and experiencing so much (fish market, camel riding, Jewish quarter, Moroccan food, American legation etc.), including some (but thankfully not exaggeratedly much) shopping and eating. Super friendly and professional, someone you'd like to have as a friend. We have learned a lot about Tangier and its region, Shafiq speaks fluently in several languages and is just a thoroughly decent, hospitable, friendly and welcoming guy, also very well networked in the market. If you want a day or two or even more of the genuine, exotic, enchanting Moroccan experience, then you have no better choice than Shafiq! We were so lucky to have had him to accompany us, we just fell in love with his city and would repeat the tour any time. A big thumbs up, five stars :-). Roger and Andre
