The Perdicaris Park extends in an area of 70 hectares between the sea and the mountain. Known also under the name Rmilat, it offers a great natural and cultural richness. It was an old property of a US diplomat but now it belongs to the Moroccan State, which is in charge of its maintenance and preservation.
Cape Spartel is frequently but incorrectly referred to as the northernmost point of Africa, It is the most North Western point of mainland Africa. The cape rises to a height of 326 m. at the top of Jebel Quebir where there is a tower. There is another tower nearer to the end of the cape which serves as a lighthouse. Near Cape Spartel is Spartel Bank, a sunken island hypothesized by some as the location of the legendary island of Atlantis. .
Located in Achakar, in the West of Tangier, the Caves of Hercules are among the most famous historic monuments of Tangier. Both local visitors and foreigners frequent this legendary place that has just been renovated. It was in the year 5000 B.C. that these caverns, dug by the waves of the Ocean, were discovered. The Caves of Hercules have a natural entrance to the Atlantic Ocean, which has strangely adopted the form of the African continent.
Kasbah museum where the architecture is as much of a draw as the exhibits. Housed in Dar el-Makhzen, a former sultan's palace on the edge of the medina, the institution features a traditional courtyard garden and contains exhibits on the history of Tangier, from prehistory to the great Islamic dynasties that forged Morocco
Tangier's medina (old city) tumbles down the cliff towards the ocean in a labyrinth of narrow alleyways. The central vortex of medina life is the square known as the Petit Socco, where old men sit for hours drinking tea and playing backgammon. During its fast-paced past, the medina was a playground for author Paul Bowles and America's legendary beatnik literary figures such as Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, and William Burroughs. Wandering around this area is a must for Tangier visitors. Just west of the Petit Socco on Rue Siaghine is The Church of the Immaculate Conception, built by the Spanish in 1880. East of the square is the Grand Mosque

Was a super neat tour. We got to see and learn a lot. It is quite a bit of walking downhill, so keep that in mind. I was a little disappointed that we didn’t get an opportunity to spend more time in the markets, instead just stopping at a few affiliated shops. Or guide changed a few times when we changed location but our original guide Neil? (Pronounced like ‘Nail’) was beyond knowledgeable and did such an amazing job explaining everything and answering all of our questions.
Great tour of Tangier with Omar, a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. We also had a driver who navigated the narrow streets with ease! We went to the Caves of Hercules, the Kasbah and the Medina which is the old section of Tangier. Although very hilly, the walk was well worth it! Would definitely recommend this tour!
The first guide was knowledgeable but he passed us off to his partner who took us specific stores that he may have got paid for.
Very good guide. Achraf was very knowledgeable about his country and Tangier. He was helpful and keen do what we wanted. We had a good tour of the city and saw panoramic views from a parkland area. He took us to Spartal lighthouse where we had coffee and mint tea.We went to the Caves of Hercules too which were good to see. It was just our guide and a driver and us, so it was very personalised. We then did a tour of the medina market which was an interesting maze of small streets. Achraf seemed to know everyone! Local people were very friendly. The only criticism we would make was that we were taken into certain shops to see goods and products that we weren't really interested in. This is fairly normal , in our experience, where I suspect the guide gets a commission if we buy anything but it does become rather tedious. Once we made it clear we weren't going to buy he moved on. Overall I can recommend Achraf. He was bright and cheerful and keen to please.
We had a great experience with Achraf our tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and steered us away from the touristy places. Great personality. I highly recommend him.
Name of Guide was Achraf Abdeddaim who was fantastic. He asked at beginning what we wanted to see on 4 hour tour. we told him and what we saw was exactly what we wanted. Very much on time to begin & end tour.
The first part of the tour is extremely well put together. The tour guide was very informed and able to answer all questions about the history and culture. The tour was designed to accommodate those with mobility differences. On the second part of the tour, which is termed as a "walking tour," please be prepared to experience the market with a full detailed presentation of items in various shops. You are strongly encouraged to make a purchase. If you are not interested in shopping, you may want to exit this part of the tour. You are given this option and they will return you to the point of pick up.
Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re happy you enjoyed the historical and accessible part of the tour. We appreciate your feedback about the walking tour and will work to make the experience more comfortable for all guests. We hope to see you again in Tangier!
Great tour covering the key highlights of Morocco with an extremely knowledgeable local guide. Perfect for cruise passengers with only a day to experience Morocco. Small group with only 6 of us so plenty of opportunity to ask questions and no extra costs on route, everything was covered within the tour price. Be prepared though it is an awful lot of walking! Our tour was meant to be 4 hours but it actually took 6 hours and we were all absolutely exhausted by the time we got back to the ship.
Thank you for your detailed feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the tour and appreciated the small group experience. Noted about the extra walking time—we’ll keep improving to balance the pace.
Very good experience- would not have done this except with a great guide - communication was absolutely excellent- bring good shoes and a positive attitude and you are in for an experience of a lifetime
Thank you for your lovely feedback! We’re delighted you enjoyed the Kasbah and the tour—great advice about good shoes and a positive attitude!
This trip was great, although we did not go into the cave. The line was just too long to get in and there were other places to go. Hamid was an excellent guide. He spent a lot of time discussing the history of the Kasbah and the Medina. He then guided us to an excellent restaurant when the tour was over. We highly recommend this tour.
Thank you for your kind review! We're glad you enjoyed the tour with us. Hope to welcome you again!
