Start with drive through the historic Rocks precinct, a birthplace of the penal colony, and home to some of Australia’s oldest pubs. Learn about the first settlement and hear story of the notorious larrikin gangs dominating the area in late-18 hundreds.
Stop under the Sydney Harbour Bridge and drive through some of the city first streets passing early architecture blended with modern skyscrapers. Stop at Mrs Macquarie’s Chair carved in 900 million years old sandstone and enjoy sweeping harbour vies dominated by the iconic bridge and Sydney Opera House.
Continue through some of the most vibrant neighbourhoods in Sydney, heading from HMAS base at Woolloomooloo via the bustling Kings Cross, and exclusive Eastern Suburbs to the Gap – the only entry to Sydney Harbour. Enjoy short stroll with striking ocean and harbour views from top of the cliff to charming Watsons Bay.
Take a short break at famous Bondi Beach for a stroll along the fine sand, passing the Australia’s first Surf Life Saving Club and watch the surfers catching a wave. Dip your toes in the refreshing Pacific Ocean or mingle with locals for a cup of flat white coffee at the promenade. On the way back to city pass smaller but equally gorgeous Tamarama and Bronte Beaches.
Travel through stylish Paddington while admiring rigorously restored Victorian Terrace Houses and trendy Darlinghurst before checking on futuristic recreational and pedestrian precinct of Darling Harbour situated on western outskirts of centre business district.

We may need to contact you prior or on the day of your tour. Please ensure that nominated mobile phone (cell phone) is fully charged, switched on, roaming enabled and checked for potential text or voice messages. Driver-guides will be on standby at the hotel or cruise terminal in front of the vehicle, at the domestic airport by the luggage carousel, and at the international airport in the arrival hall (past customs), holding a sign displaying your booking name five minutes prior to the designated pick-up time. For tours beginning at the airport, ensure you allocate enough time to complete all procedures (at least 60 minutes for international terminals, and at least 30 minutes for domestic terminals). In the event of any disruption or delay it will be responsibility of the passenger to contact Wachtl Australia on mobile (cell) phone / WhatsApp +61 466 966 028 to prevent any no-show or non-arrival charges. Parking at some pick-up locations is time-restricted, and delays may result in additional parking charges bearable by the client. If you are running late, please inform us promptly. Safety of all passengers is our highest priority and our company guarantees compliance with all appropriate state laws. Under the Passenger Transport Act 2014 passengers of a motor vehicle that is moving, or is stationary but not parked, must wear seatbelt. All passengers under the age of 12 months must be properly secured in a rearward-facing child restraint, which can be provided upon request prior the travel along with booster cushions for older children. In compliance with Wachtl Australia's Safety Management System policy, passengers under the age of 12 are not permitted to sit in the front seat or any seat equipped with an airbag. Passengers must exercise diligence and adhere to their own duty of care. Additionally, children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible guardian. In accordance with the NSW Transport Act, the consumption of food or beverages, excluding water, is strictly forbidden on all forms of public transport, including our vehicles.

I had an amazing experience exploring Sydney with our guide, Marek. The “Sydney Highlights” tour was incredibly well-organised, informative, and enjoyable from start to finish. Marek was very professional, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and engaging at the same time. His passion for the city really showed, and he shared so many interesting insights that I wouldn’t have discovered on my own. Mark our tour guide was awesome! He took us all over Sydney showing us sites of the city and gave us history of the city too. He did an amazing job telling us about the city and providing us some drinks and snacks.

This tour was exactly what we needed—super comfortable and stress-free. The car was spacious and spotless, making the ride so easy. After having a great experience with Wachtl Australia in Blue Mountains, we decided to book Sydney City Tour as well. 4 hours essential tour worked great for our last day of our holidays before we headed to the airport. We covered the city, stopped at Bondi and explore old hidden gems of the Rocks.
