Sunset Lavender Tour in Valensole with pickup from Marseille

Description
Because if you go to the lavender fields to take pictures, the golden light is between 8pm and 9:30pm. During the day the light is very strong and it can be very hot. We will leave Marseille at 4:15pm so we can catch the nice sunset when we get to Valensole plateau. The trip to get there is around 1 hour and 20 minutes. You will be surrounded by fields of lavender, the famous Provençal scented plant, abound here. We will also stop in a lavender distillery along the way where you have the opportunity to buy products directly from the producers; and we will leave you some free time in the village of Valensole. The best time for lovers of typical Provençal landscapes to visit is middle of June to end of July, when Valensole plateau is awash with beautiful blue lavender in bloom. It's a sight – and scent – to behold!

Our guide Silvio is kind, friendly, and helpful! The places? Wonderful! Postcard views
June 22, 2026 This was my 60th Birthday gift to myself and I took my best friend. The fields of Lavender took my breath away. Our guide Silvio was amazing and he found us the most wonderful fields to take photos in. We had rain, a rainbow and a beautiful Sunset. My heart is full. Dreams conquered. This was the perfect time to visit. We even saw the Sunflowers in bloom. And amazing experience. Don't miss it.
It was an amazing experience! I visited in early-mid July and this year due to the extreme heat it was already quite late and many of the fields were already harvested. Our tour guide took an extra effort to find and take us to the fields where there was still some lavenders left. Hope to come back again!
Jenny was really nice and a good tour guide. She was kind and patient. The trip was full of joyful memories and was a quite pleasant experience. I highly recommend this trip if you are going to Marseille.
the trip was amazing!! paul was super patient and accurate with time and was proactively trying to solve our problems
Paul was AMAZING! Very knowledgeable about all things Provence (and beyond) and very accommodating, solving all of our logistical issues to make for a great trip! We were able to do everything we wanted, and he helped find the perfect lavender fields, suggest fun poses and even got behind the camera! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Paul was phenomenal!!! He’s so helpful and patient and friendly. He helped us solve our complex situation for catching the train at 10pm. By coordinating with others and precise time managing. And patiently helping us to find the best lavender field and gets the best shots!! Would highly recommend to anybody!
Our guide, Jennie, was a lovely woman with plenty of regional knowledge to impart. The sunflower fields and lavender fields were well worth the visit. Absolutely beautiful and the lavender smelled gorgeous. The trip was perfectly timed to catch the sunset over the fields after a delicious meal in Valensole.
Wow!! The most incredible experience with the kindest guide! Highlight of the trip!! The most beautiful sights! The guide
