Experience the Big Outdoors and Portage Glacier Cruise! See the amazing beauty that surrounds Anchorage. This special tour does not follow any set route. Nor does it follow a time table. Use your time wisely by going into the wilderness to see wildlife and view glaciers. Summer only: an option, on a 80 ft. cruise ship. (available 11am departure only and May 15 - Sep 15) We follow the sun, the wind and our hearts to navigate your vacation towards the most scenic locations capable for the day of your tour. The Wilderness Wildlife Glacier Experience includes entrance into the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. During summer you'll have an option to include a glacier cruise on the mv Ptarmigan. Learn about our rich history and see the Ring of Glaciers. This award winning tour can not be replicated by any other service or shuttle. The Wilderness Wildlife Glacier Experience offers highly trained Guides who's sole purpose is making your vacation memories last a lifetime.

Anchorage City Tour as we exit into the wilderness/
With a rich historic footprint in Anchorage the rail system is viewable during our tour
Above 3000 feet, a notable mountain peak viewable throughout Anchorage
Scenic Viewpoint to Beluga whale watch Free photography lessons offered.
Seasonal Self-Guided walk to the foot of Byron Glacier. Typically, later May to mid Sept.
Bird Point and selective Viewpoints to photograph soaring eagles, mountain goats, whales or walk upon alpine meadows. Free photography lessons offered.
See amazing flying wildlife as well as the marsh areas that are home to moose, salmon and other migrating wildlife.
See the scenic valley views. Look for seasonal bears and eagles.
Guided Tour within conservation park to see brown bear, wolves and bison. Photography lessons offered.
Available only during summer, from June to August, optional-Upgrade. Glacier Cruise to be upclose to Portage Glacier. See up close the face of Portage Glacier on the Ptarmigan Cruise ship. See up to 14 glaciers embedded within rugged mountains of the Chugach National Forest, that form the Ring of Glaciers. This Cruise, can be upgraded for an additional fee this is not included in the regular tour cost. The Portage Glacier cruise is in conjunction with the U.S. Dept of Agriculture and hosted by a U.S. Park Ranger. This boat ride is NOT included in Wilderness Wildlife Glacier Experience basic tour. The regular tour, without cruise ship upgrade, still views glaciers within Glacier Valley. Free Photography Lessons offered.
Walk on America's most northern rain forest
See the scenic glacial ponds of Explorer Glacier. When seasonally available we walk on the Blue Ice Trail.
Ring of Glaciers. A wonder of glaciers that surround a lake filled with pure glacial run off. As we return to Anchorage, live entertainment is offered.

Amazing tour today with the best guide Maria, who was not only passionate, but very professional. She made us feel like friends, and always adapted to the group needs. Always here to answer our questions. I really enjoyed the tour. Amazing views and animals, the stopping times were great and enough, never felt rushed. The only suggestion I’d like to give to improve the experience would be to have pick-up at the main hotels of the city, not only during the two coldest months of the year. I could only recommend everyone to book with PicTours, I’ll do more tours with you guys on my next layover in Anchorage. Thanks so much for the experience!

Beautiful breathtaking sites! Glaciers, animals and gorgeous bodies of water made for an adventurous day. Our professional tour guide Hunter provided interesting information and made our experience fun.
We had a great experience with Maria and pickTours. Booked last minutes and didnt expect a lot. Carla guided us and helped to book the correct trip for our family. Maria picked us up from airport on time. She is so much knowledgeable and kept us entertained the whole time. My 6 years old is a fan. Maria also got us souvenirs as gifts. I will recommend PicTours to everyone who wants a relaxed family trip.
Hunter was our guide. He was very knowledgeable, made everyone feel relaxed and comfortable as we celebrated our 50th Anniversary. My husband uses a walker, and he was very patient and helpful with him. This is hard to find but I so appreciate all of his help. I would recommend Hunter for every tour. Did this tour with Anna as our guide. From sharing personal stories and experiences to her knowledge of Alaska, she made it worth every penny! Every stop had something unique to offer but my personal favorite was the Byron glacier trek! Would highly recommend the tour and preferably with Anna as the guide! :)
This tour was wonderful. The bus was clean and comfortable. The tour was relaxed and we had the right amount of time at each stop. We were able to see all of the bears roaming around. Adding the glacier tour was well worth it to see one up close. Brooke was informative and kind. She was by far the most memorable tour guide I've ever had. We're so in love with Alaska now!
Hunter was a wealth of information throughout the excursion. The views were excellent and the glacier tour was well worth it.
